Spot on. We all love a tear up, Chisora v Whyte being an excellent example, but sometimes it's nice to watch the sweet science and enjoy the skillset that goes with it.

Well said - a fantastic fight and great performance from Fury. Did himself and the country proud. Conducted himself well post fight too, especially after the farcical decision. Sugar Ray Robinson v Jake LaMotta, the 'St Valentine's Day Massacre' - watched a documentary on it. Robinson believed boxing was about skill, the 'sweet science' whereas LaMotta thought it was about proving who was the 'toughest'. Fury v Wilder encapsulated that brilliantly.

This is hilarious, if true. Mayweather doesn't come out of this looking good. That said, friendly with a lad in work who's really into the 'fringe' combat sports like kickboxing, Muay Thai etc. He says this RIZIN company, previously called Pride, is known for such things and very last minute changes and dodgy deals/bribes, so there 'could be' genuine truth to this.

Breaking news!!! Mayweather is back - next fight announced: New Year's Eve in Japan against a 20 year old kick boxer nobody has heard of. Mayweather says this is to 'broaden his global appeal'. In reality it's an easy night's work as RIZIN (the kick boxing company) is well known to fix fights. Can only assume this is the start of some half a$$ed comeback before he targets UFC stars again? Or maybe he's in financial difficulty - he does like spending it. Only good news is, with a late fight in Japan, it will be like 10AM UK time - great way to start the New Year's Eve sesh by watching this non-sense!

Another win for David Allen, the Rhino, on Saturday. If you follow this guy online, such a likable character. Hates training, loves KFC and Babe station. Also loves mocking himself, notably his 'Allen v Unknown Hungarian' promo posters he produces. Had a shock KO victory few months back and propelled him back into the top 60 of the world, all in the year he was considering hanging up the gloves. Another good stoppage this weekend from a body shot. Very funny chap, wish him all the best.

Took my wife to marriage therapy. We've not been getting on at all well lately. Sat down and began arguing and shouting right away. The therapist said: "Calm down! Big one between Groves and Smith this weekend on ITV Box Office. Such a shame the fight has had limited news coverage, due to it being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Who's everyone's money on, as it's very close? Smith got the height and reach advantage, but his first time fighting a 'proper' big/world class name. As for Groves, been looking great under McGuigan, but I worry he's returned too soon after the shoulder injury. Personally I see something happening injury wise with the shoulder and Groves retiring mid-way through the bout. If not, I hope the Saint nicks the points victory.

Personally feel that Whyte desevres a second chance. He rattled Joshua in their first encounter and has improved massively since then, claiming some notable scalps.

Controversial but I felt Canelo knicked it, even despite Compubox saying GGG landed more. Judges can award points for aggression. Canelo was on the front foot the whole fight and landed some impressive power punches. GGG, whilst jabbing effectively, didn't look as impressive. People on social media screaming 'Robbery' are just plain wrong. The first fight arguably so, but this fight, certain rounds, including the 12th, could easily be given either way. Is a third fight inevitable? I hope so. Nobody wants to see Canelo v Lemieux. And at 36yrs old, GGG doesn't want to fight Billy Joe Saunders to miss out on a multi million pound pay day before retirement by fighting Alvarez a third time.

Cracking match-up. As for this weekend, the big one tomorrow. Can't help but feel Canelo is going to do it this time round.

Spot on about the lack of power. For bigger fighters who cut weight drastically, power can almost evaporate. Fury's shots didn't seem to trouble the Italian on Saturday. Granted he might not have been trying to knock the guy out, instead opting for the fitness, experience and rounds, but it's worrying when you're months away from facing a KO artist like Wilder.

Going to go against the grain here and say I thought Fury actually looked alright. For all of his troubles outside the ring, he looked okay and demonstrated a good variety of shots, movement akin to his prior 'glory days' and looked rather spritely on his feet. The opponent was a glorified punching bag, there to give Fury the exercise and rounds he needed. What people were expecting other than this I don't know. At least it was more competitive than the Seferi fight. As for Wilder v Fury, think it's come far too soon in Fury's 'comeback' personally, but never write the man off, he's surprised us many times over and his movement is still excellent.

What a shambles of a 'club'. I thought City were bad at planning and organising (from a commercial sense) but this is something else!

You won't catch Windmill Wilder chasing AJ or Whyte - Fury on paper right now is his easiest fight.

Cracking night of boxing. Benn another action packed bout, Allen's Rocky style victory, Chisora shocked us all by beating the Paris brick wall Takam and fair play to Whyte for showing some determination to hang on in the last round of a very good fight. Sadly I can't see Wilder being interested in fighting Whyte. Realistically it's going to be a Whyte v Chisora rematch in my humble opinion.

I suppose we all see different things when we watch! I personally thought he was quite nimble on his feet and good movement, especially for a heavyweight. Reminds me of a fat Malignaggi in many ways with his low guard and constant shot peppering. Just think he's style might be tricky for Whyte, not taking anything away from our own London lad of course who can certainly bang if he gets the opportunity (look at Lucas Browne's post fight face)!

Predictions for this weekend then guys? Looking forward to Whyte v Parker. A lot of time for our Dillan, who's come on leaps and bounds and impressed in his last 3 fights, all victories against well known heavyweights. That said, I think Parker's skill set and movement might be too much to handle. Whyte will press, Parker will move. If he doesn't gas out by 9/10 for the stoppage, then I think it'll be Parker on points. But nothing to stop Whyte getting another brutal KO in the early rounds. Chisora v Takam also an interesting one. Takam is an absolute unit and just kept pressing against Joshua. Got a chin and can take punishment yet still come forward. Chisora has looked well past his prime since his epic war with Whyte last year. My money has to be on Takam points.

Such a shame. With house prices in BS3 astronomical at present, can see a lot of people buying in places like Pill, which are on this rail line. To have the direct link to Ashton Gate on Saturdays would have been great for fans buying homes outside the City limits. Now they'll have to contend with the already hideous match day traffic of the A369 and Cumberland Basin Underpass, plus trying to find parking somewhere!

Probably cycling to Ashton Gate World Cup Fan Village to watch England.......
