  1. I watched the highlights. The gas' keeper had a mare. Wigan's fourth goal was hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8rnkwKiY6c&list=PLvij5I1MVvM1MtCW3YPCCJ7Qc6vFXt346
  2. Joe Bryan gave us some of those... against Swindon, the Gash, Man Utd.
  3. Not guaranteed, if our weak starts to second halves are anything to go by - that almost did for us v Millwall. Update - just read the threads above, which render mine here pointless.
  4. I watched the post match video with Liam and I thought he looked pretty shaken, and not in the "I am raging" way. Not a good sign unfortunately.
  5. And three of the goals came from his signings!
  6. Did not expect that. Derby scored early and then hung-on.
  7. It's all opinions but your post is a tad harsh, imo.
  8. Guessing he will bring on Twine. Doubt Earthy will get a kick today, but who knows.
  9. As much as I would hate to see this happen to any football league club, because it's them I would laugh so much I'd probably give myself a hernia.
  10. I watch it now and then and really like it. Reminds me of days gone by.
  11. I think that Division will be a tough one this year. Unless they have an upturn in fortunes of epic proportions, they are staying put. I think they will finish mid-table, a bit like us.
  12. I asked Gemini AI to summarise the OP post. Here we go: Nigel Pearson's dismissal from Bristol City was not solely due to performance but rather a complex interplay of factors. The club's ownership sought a more collaborative and enjoyable work environment, clashing with Pearson's demanding management style. Additionally, questions arose about the efficiency of the coaching and support staff, leading to concerns about value for money and the club's overall direction.
  13. Yep, but hypothetically speaking... Ashton is almost certainly a far better business type person and a more capable officer in a football club hierachy than JL, but... it's difficult to express things without casting aspertions but people were left with a bad taste in their mouth after (and during) his time here, to say the least. Whereas, JL, probably a decent human, real heart for Bristol City, would not do anything questionable, and I do wish him success, mainly for the sake of the club, but I doubt he is on the same level as Ashton in terms of skills and experience.
  14. Crazy game here Swindon Town 4 - 7 Aldershot. Josh Stokes is in on the action. https://youtu.be/FAX5i6TXD4A?si=uRNX3GAJefPEIdar
  15. There is one in the latest data, from Norrtälje. The missus and I love Swedish drama. I think the accent is fab.
  16. Hi everyone I hope you're having a great summer despite the weather and the football. This is an update on the responses to the 'Where do you live' survey. I've written a script to analyse the data (thanks AI) - please let me know if you see any errors. 17. This is somewhat off-topic (although there have been posts above about Japanese culture) but me and my wife recently finished the TV series 'Tokyo Vice'. I loved every minute of it: The better half, not so much. Now I have that song by The Vapors going round in my brain. Actually, come to think of it, I loved the film 'Lost in Translation'.

  20. @harvey54 @ExiledAjax hi thanks for your feedback. If you guys are nervous about your email address then don't use it. Consider using a free service like Proton Mail: https://proton.me/mail I am not affiliated with them but I have a Proton email address for signing-up for things that are one-offs, like this survey. They seem good. There are several reasons for asking for an email address. First, it is so that I can say, hand on heart and to the best of my ability, that every response is real, rather than data I made-up to prove City is better supported across England than the gas (though that goes without saying). I think that's important. Also some spam bot email can be identified by the email address. It's not perfect, I know. Secondly, it helps to weed-out people completing the form more than once, which has happened. This helps keep the data accurate. The third reason is that I will email everyone a link to the data when it is published - it's part of the deal for taking part in the survey. The data will be interative so you can filter by location (I have some other ideas). You can opt out of that on the survey form, around a third of people have - in fact that opts you out of any contact by email. I will honour that. This is the only time your email address will be used. Fourth, it's the only way I can identify someone who asks for their data to be deleted. In terms of trust, I'm going to PM some of you my mobile number so you can text or WhatsApp or call me to discuss any of the above. Thanks.
  21. Thanks for this. Indeed I am an 'exile' and my interest partly stems from this. And sure, OTIB is representative of OTIB and that's about it. Fortunately, I am am not testing any hypotheses. Also I have no intention of collecting demographic data such as age, gender, race, income level, marital status etc. Gone are the days I was involved in such work. This is a simple survey not a research project. I'm just happy and interested to see where other City fans live.
  22. Their support is really impressive, all things considered.
  23. Stats update as of 08:30 this morning.
