  1. So familiar. The weight of expectation and opportunity Yes, it's shite. Bye
  2. Interesting point, I was looking at the team we put out v Sunderland a year ago and the one on Saturday and I fancied last year's to edge the team we have right now (bearing in mind a couple of key injuries currently). At this point, is Harry Cornick an improvement on Chris Martin? He's more mobile I suppose. Looking at the two sides, then the performance Saturday, it was difficult to feel the optimism there has been on here all summer, difficult to see the qualitative difference. But we have injuries, and it is too hasty to read too much into one performances. And we're a point ahead of last season already.
  3. Liking Pep's two tone beard, he might get the Cov job one day looking like that
  4. How far you got with the Paul Theroux - has he got as far as Argentina yet?
  5. But their away goal had an element of hand ball?
  6. Did you ask Mick what to do with Cornick?
  7. City fan on the radio phone in last night said they are our "bogey team" so the idea/myth persists
  8. For Those About To Return from Parson Street via Southbound stopping service ..... we salute you
  9. Aha, so now we have it - your relentless quiet, understated optimism and cheerfulness on here is less than honest. How can we be sure that your optimism this time, above, is not just more of this dishonest optimism you have, we now know, been fooling us with for years?
  10. The selection was riddled with errors.
  11. "I can't read, I can't right, It's blood-ee embarrassing With our front three and your back four Your in for some harr-assing .... " There's a song in there (somewhere), mate
  12. It’s the feel of the nylon, mate, and the stretchiness of the fabric (fitting nicely over the pot belly), and also the opportunity, for us blokes, in this day and age to express our/their inner and largely sub-conscious Grayson Perry, to go big on colour and/or pattern. Specially the goalie tops.
  13. It's just sprung to mind, mate, think that was 'WellRed'
  14. That's not bad, Kid. But Leicester had a Baby Squad in the 80s, and they never ran from no-one (except Millwall).
  15. He hasn't had Warne bowling one end and McGraaaa the other.
  16. They're strict on that - noncery - the 675, most football lads, tbf. Kicking each other to **** in front of kids, not so much
  17. Stoke would be improved had it a sea front?
  18. There is that. But it's a game with no "buzz" if we win, winning a game away from home in Div 4 in 1984 was a "buzz" that no-one will feel today, should we win.
  19. We are a peculiar lot, us Bristolians/City fans. Portsmouth (a shit-hole down south) is 117 miles away, and a journey of 2 hours 9 minutes (via M4). And we take 1800 to a pre-season friendly. Meanwhile, Stoke-on-Trent (a shit-hole up north) is 126.9 miles away, and will take us 2 hours and 24 minutes to get there. We will take just under 900 there, for a Championship league fixture.
