  1. Ian leighs got promised free pizza for life, by a restaurant in bouremouth, if he kept a clean sheet against man utd. Now thats what you call a bonus. Sadly harry redknapp bought the place, and poor ian got no pizza. What about that ben hamer, didnt he let a silly amount in, in the time we had him? Recall mike hooper laughing, when newcastle let a goal in and hed been benched. And the geordies demanded him out, was out in days.
  2. When i first started work, the towns talk had a nasty nickname on a thursday night. Yanleigh lane was like the garden of eden
  3. Is that a original keith poppel mate?
  4. No game this saturday, my bad! But i really expect this look to take off soon. I wonder how many england fans would go for that look tomorrow?
  5. Its a fashion thing, relax guys! And who is more clued up than fashion, than football fans? Expect to see a mob of st trinians on ashton road this saturday.
  6. Im sure we played wycombe on a friday night early 00s? We had a winger from the gunners on loan, who wasnt up to much?
  7. The security guard from fairfax house used to drink around bedminster in the 90s. Said he saw a lady go in the toilets there one night. He thought it was odd as there was nobody in the building. He waited ten minutes knocked on the door, nobody was in there. He said he had never been so frightened.
  8. Prince william travels from london to villa park i presume? Hopefully charles with give him a stern lecture about this outrageous behaviour.
  9. It would certainly affect local shops, pubs. People spend more locally before a game. Plus they always seem to be working on train lines at weekends. Had it the other month, was a coach to and from parkway.
  10. Yes, Ralph scored 15 goals for dundee united in europe i see. What a record, they played some decent teams over that few years period too. Reckon that record wont be surpassed anytime soon.
  11. Yes that night was everything a lot of his teams, performed to get a result. Underhand, some might say savvy, and resilient.
  12. How he got a tune out that rotherham team i dont know. Recall he gave lj plenty of verbals in the interview after, we played them down here.
  13. I would not like to put a figure on the amount who fly in for liverpool games. Wouldnt suprise me if it was 5000, probaly more.
  14. Stephen fry is from norwich, i think? i recall him being at games?? He would be a better fit.
  15. Same as above for me, under terry cooper something exciting happened every season. As a kid, play for luckwell school on the worst pitch n south bristol, the marsh. Home in time for football focus or saint and g. Then go and watch walshy terrorise someone. Happy days.
  16. Rewind a year. All of a sudden, jon, yes jon who was running the club. Suddenly, a important project sprung up, and he was whisked off! Next day, dean holden was sacked. Do not expect honesty.
  17. Beryl fudge stand for me. If only we had somebody like her there now. Whos running the club this week, steve or jon? I sense a project coming up.
  18. He knew the size of the job here, make no mistake about that. Thats why he asked for so many windows. Somebody else, pointed out on here, theres a good chance he was misled by sl. He must of been shocked we couldnt get a striker in. I think he asked for was it 3 or 4 windows for us to challenge? By xmas he would be half way there?
  19. More chance of him coming than neil. No manager would let a outsider run his team for say 6 months. It would have to be a clean break.
  20. There was a good htv west report. Would have been the morning after notts county reading maybe. Joe had the players running up and down the mini hills in ashton park.
  21. Sounds like bielsas translator has a tough gig!
  22. Terry coopers training ground, was the car park outside the old east end. Or sometimes the park. Never did rob newman or alan walsh any harm.. Every player wore adidas samba trainers too. Came in handy when the ball was kicked in the river in the car park.
  23. That shows where we are in the grand scheme of things with him in that interview major.
  24. I dont mind us losing, having a go. Last two away games waved the white flag. Our last three wins, chucking in three at pboro, the last minute goal at qpr, barnsleys crap finishing. I dont wish to moan on here all the time but those 3 wins everytime i thought we were lucky to win that. A convincing win would be nice for once. Not many easy games at this level i know.
  25. Anyone got that picture of the stewards bundling him out, after his otp celebrations?
