Yep the people who kept the dolman safe, be late 50s at best now. But respect to them, cause if they wouldnt have been, there, against the likes of whu, sheff united and portsmouth. Lets be honest, there would have been carnage. They stopped firms running amok in the dolman. Anybody my age knows this.
  7. You could hire a cushion for 10p in the stand in the 80s there. I recall them getting chucked about like confetti one year.
  8. Before the new chairman. The most i can remeber them bringing, was a cup game under tony fawthorpe. And that was a few hundred. Pretty sure he recalled matt hewlett for that game or around then.

  17. On the subject on city players being refused memberships. I did some work, on a golf course near clevedon years ago. The guy who owned it was a right stickler. He said, i had some city players here once. He said that tommy doherty got changed in the car park. I asked the group leader not to bring him again he said. !
  18. The wolves game he came on and ran rings around them deserves a mention. The second goal was genius. Replacing those 2 with liam robinson. Unforgivable.
  19. Going back a few years ago, 2 kids up west street, spotted him in a hotel in poland. They were at a england game, i think he was something to do with the u21s. He invited them into the buffet, and stayed chatting. Nice touch that. He had nothing but good to say about the club.
  20. Has the bikers pub, scallys down weston gone? Saw it might be closing a while ago. Always got a good mix of people in there.
