I think their average this season is higher than ours, though ours is certainly getting better. Their stadium is bigger too isnt it, plus only having 1 club in a decent sized catchment area helps?!
-
Derby are bigger than us in just about every area, apart from current league position, much as it pains me to say it.
-
Agreed! Im not convinced at all by manning, but to bring twine in and lose him for all those games has been a hanmer blow to the way he wants us to play. With him/ a championship level number 10, plus the big striker, we could be a different proposition.
-
Im sure that the bird signing is to bring him in to take the sitting ball playing midfielder role that james currently has. Perhaps him and tgh will share that role moving into the future.
-
The big number 9 at luton was adebajo though, and we wont be getting anyone in as good as that!
-
I was there, the similarity in mentality with manning is uncanny. Everything is well presented, and corporate, but there is no passion, winning would be nice, but not essential, as long as we get our required amounts of possession, and stick to the plan then its fine. Without kane there was no focal point or threat, like us with our forwards, foden is a great talent but just doesnt create much for england, but no one does. bellingham is one of the most desired midfielders in the world, but has to stick in the system. Id be happy to give it to klopp,,, get some passion and aggression back in our team.

Just got a reminder from facebook that i was there with my lad, we are going back tomorrow to watch england v brazil, happy days!

You cant argue with stupid, hes bringing you down to his level and beating you with experience… ignore is your friend.
-
Im up here quite a lot.. Its pretty bad in places, but id swap the wedgewood estate and factory and trentham for quite a few places in bristol! They talk like idiots to be fair.
-
Im not sure what alexanders role was in terms of day to day, though the footballing royalty comment did for him, but certainly goulds loss was massive.
-
Your explanation is the only thing i can think of, you dont want your players flying into reckless tackles and getting sent off, or fighting each other when you lose because of emotions… at this point manning has gone the other way though, the conway goal from that press against west ham wouldnt happen now, or if it did, it would be contrary to his tactical plan. The players are being coached to be passive, it’s no surprise we keep losing.
-
Im not sure if this includes the cup games, where im sure we can all agree, we gave everything we reasonably could have done, and the place was rocking. the way we are set up is abysmal now though. Losing twine has been a massive blow, if he comes back and we start to look better i will have some sympathy for manning, we knew we were missing that creative player and he tried to get the best we realistically could have gone for,,, a physical striker that should have come in January, or even better last summer but wasnt signed, The striker should have taken precedence over anything else, i can only assume the lansdowns werent looking to spend what was needed.

His name is Brian, you might not agree with the job hes doing, and this forum is the perfect place to discuss that, but you arent capable of respecting the guy that played 550 games for us. Its a pathetic comment just like most others you make on this forum.

His name is brian, 550 games for us ought to be enough to remember his actual name, its not hard.

Are we the dullest club in the country?
Simon bristol replied to ChippenhamRed's topic in Football Chat
They are inherently shit to their core, weve spent a fortune and are still mediocre! -
Nearly £10m spent…is it good enough ?
Simon bristol replied to And Its Smith's topic in Football Chat
Tanner is stronger defensively, mcrorie is a more powerful runner, and has a good attitude, but they have about as much goal thread as each other, which is not a lot, same as pring and roberts the other side. A decent season for joe bryan and he would get more than the 4 of them combined, and its a problem when we aren’t exactly blessed with goals from the rest of the team. -
Get him gone - Give it to Andy King until summer

It would make complete sense, which is why the lansdowns wouldnt do it.. they dont want someone with that experience and background seeing them for how they operate things. -
It was shocking, twine being out couldnt have been predicted, but the lack of a front line striker coming in was disastrous.

Yes, really want to see twine start a few games supplying conway. Like him or not, there’s no denying that twine was mannings pick in January, and for him to be missing this long has really thrown a spanner in the works. -
