  1. However, Pearson will never get his FIFA coaching badge because he has never counted ‘box entries’
  2. In a moment of self-righteous frustration during the QPR match day thread, I took it upon myself to lash Semenyo for his mindless running around, his lack of football intelligence and his inability to score. I think he’s taken upon himself in the past month to make me cringe with guilt and wrong headedness. However, this is my post from Feb 9th 2020. Thought I warranted the reprieve!! Funny, I see it differently. Massengo is too good for this mediocre side. He is quick thinking and creative with a repertoire of intelligent passing that others don’t read. He plays reverse balls and threaded balls that mystify the slow of thinking like Korey Smith who is much more limited. Without intelligent movement it nullifies the likes of Massengo and Palmer who thrive on targets for their passing. I watched the game last night and apart from thinking that the Blues simply outplayed us and looked more like a top six prospect, I lost count of the times our midfield broke free, looked forward and spun out again because of the lack of options. When did you see the great Spanish midfield constantly turning out to go back and sideways. Good movement begins as a state of mind and is a great skill/aptitude in the game.

  4. Yeah, fair point but it’s a question of mental processing. Some of them are not learning from mistake after mistake. They keep making poor decisions. Did you see how the Luton players went into game management mode to see out the win totally against the run of play. At 24 years of age he should be capable of clear, pragmatic thinking. Was it Alan Hansen who said ‘percentages’. Put it in row Z. The stakes are high. And it’s not just Cam Pring. I agree he can play but he has to be a better decision maker
  5. 24 years old is not a kid. Liverpool field 17 year olds
  6. Who was that defending at the back post who jogged out to Jacobsen ??
  7. I posted a couple of weeks ago that Semenyo is overrated. Got it wrong. Another great finish where the ball down the side of the defender let’s him hit with his left instinctively. Let’s keep getting him in these positions can he do it down the right side too?
  8. ‘Do the Ayatollah..’ Cardiff thing. Gareth Thomas did same after scoring a try
  9. Pearson was looking forward to the experienced players coming back to solidify our performances….Andy King
  10. I just don’t see any development in Semenyo. He doesn’t have a footballing brain, no nous, finesse or skill. He just sprints about aimlessly
  11. Sir Geoff has to be one of the best centre back headers of a ball for his height ever. Great leap
  12. Perhaps NP keeps picking Martin to showcase for Lansdown the need for a striker in the January window.
  13. Agreed. How can NP keep picking Vyner. Jogging back, no pressure on the ball. Cross comes in to easily, able to pick someone out.
  14. Well, You either commit to paying for quality replacements or you don’t. If the finances don’t allow for such investment, then we have to continue to develop the young players even if it means doing it in league 1
  15. Sorry, I lost track of thread. I was responding to the opinion that things were equally as bad in the 60s and 70s. I added that we went up on the 70s
  16. Thought we went up to the First Division in the 70s
  17. Yeah but come on. We really didn’t deserve to win on Wednesday. Outplayed for most of the game
  18. But is it unfair of fans to believe that a new, ‘better’ manager can do better with the existing squad? We seem to be getting worse.
  19. I wonder if it is simply a case of not replacing the quality players that left: Webster, Browning, Cordova-Reid, Bryan, Kelly, Diedhiou, etc. The squad is palpably weaker and NP’s argument that the big, flabby squad with too many injuries had to be slimmed down hasn’t paid off. (It may have been a spin from the top to cover the cut in the wage bill) Cardiff City did not replace quality players that left with similar consequences
  20. Prediction: All petrol and diesel cars will be banned on UK roads before Bristol City reach the Premier League
  21. Fair play, Sky betting are watching us play. The draw is currently 6/1 ?
