  1. Certainly was Sticks, back and for for ages, me and mates were up shit creek when the bulk of our lot went up the embankment to board the waiting special back to Bristol , heads down and mingle ??
  2. How very sad, probably the most iconic of all. His commentaries were sublime. Knocks spots off commentators these days. RIP Mr Motson Sir
  3. Oct 1989 , won 3-0. Loads of City there , Lashed down . Coins a plenty coming over back wall. City broke out after match, carnage on Sloper road .
  4. Luton were/are his level, Stoke and Southampton, a level far too far. Blows too much smoke up his own Hershey highway. Valley version of Hollowhead. Be pricing up chicken hutches around Rhondda soon?
  5. World capital of crabs when I was growing up in late 80’s?
  6. No idea tbh. Here is a photo of Cardiff away end You on the train from Caldicot ??
  7. It’s just seat with a rail in front to lean on ,hold onto. We have the same in section 82 corner
  8. Got to be the most expensive tickets ever? Wow . Cardiff away with train included will be cheaper than this for me and young un. Got a choice to make as cannot do both at this price will end up being a happy clappers paradise
  9. They gave up on asking the guys up there, as rightly pointed out to stewards on many occasions , S82 stood before rail seating, away fans stand, all in the same stadium. Standing in the back row/2 rows doesn’t obscure any views. I sit up there . When it’s a big game people stand on the walkway at back .
  10. Is that what I said. Err no. Don’t try and patronise me. It’s all about creating an atmosphere by being closer to away fans and singing back and for , where does calling them ******* come into my comments, please enlighten me??? I just think it’s going to cause problems on Saturday.
  11. Super, I know you cannot do that, they are not going to congregate in E34 to sit down and sing are they . I believe the aim is to replicate what happened on Sunday and that was stood for 90 minutes having banter with away fans .
  12. I don’t think the aim of the move is to sit down and not block the view of others, it’s going to be to replicate what happened against Swansea, stand and create an atmosphere whilst stood up, but on Saturday there will be SC holders sat in their seats who may well be totally against the idea. I think it’s a great idea but it will cause problems if not done properly via the club .
  13. E34 is the block where the club sells cheap tickets to encourage day trippers to become new fans. Birmingham will be lively on Saturday so now this is being put out there expect the club to be all over it on the day. Also there will be a number of regular SC holders back in their seats on Saturday in there so taking over it might not go down to well. ?
  14. Yes could be that but deffo fans from elsewhere in Dolman/ South stand made their way there, good to see.
  15. There were a lot more in Dolman E34 second half , probably double those there in 1st half. It was good to see and raised the atmosphere another notch.
  16. I commented to my nephew after one late in game that it was good to see so many hard Sunday league tackles going in, fair but hard, like it should be
  17. Jeez Dave, just drifted off whilst reading that and lashed me pint over keks and sofa??
  18. Remember watching the game live on Tv. As the studio guests were about to sum up game you could see the flare launched from one stand straight into the other. Distress flare so would have hit like a mini missile without the explosion .
  19. Was Izal the tracing paper like big roll?? If so I have bad memories of that from my days in primary school in late 70’s?
  20. I went to Swansea last year and we went out at final whistle, the reason being was that it was absolutely chucking it down. Although it was still kickin off on dual carriageway
  21. Coming in from South Wales tonight across the top through Abbots Leigh. Is the cricket club open for parking?
  22. We were in Dolman E34 and I thought they were awful, never heard a peep all game from them
  23. He gets stamped on by arriving player, but a massive over reaction. Wobble off pal. Time to give up footy and fade into the background and enjoy life
  24. Club colours and rivalry bear no significance in times like this. Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery Nick and hope you are back out there playing again sooner rather than later??
  25. Not enough space to rotate pitch and build new stand. Have a look on Google maps. Flats are way to close
