I think his lack of progress is due to the media team “overloading him with too much information”.
There’s not a lot he can change once the filming has started.

Max Bird getting promoted automatically with his childhood club and then joining a distant team with no greater prospects
I can see some money changing hands and the transfer cancelled to avoid us having a greatly demotivated player
He must be thinking what the **** have I done.

Great post!
This really annoys me as well. I don’t think there is a model you can copy and apply it to us. What is obvious from any successful club is having a close team, connected with the fans, normally gets you there; whatever the style of play or types of players.
What I also struggle with is Lansdown’s inability to reflect on what’s worked well in the past: it’s always been the above but also with a strong experienced manager at the helm (GJ, SC and to an emerging extent NP). LJ broadly did OK having access to a war chest, but didn’t have the success of the aforementioned.
For me the only realistic way we will see the Premier League is to bring in a leader of that ilk and let them just get on with it.
That Nigel Pearson would be ideal for us ‘ he’s got a track record of steadily building clubs up and getting promoted from the championship

Can you blame me? At the moment, all you hear is how amazing he was
Don’t think I’ve heard anyone say he was amazing’ there’s just a lot of people who understand what a good job he done in a absolute shit storm he came into’ there’s still fans out the who don’t get what a mess we were in.

I don't agree with sacking Tinnion, he's a legend like Scott Murray, demote him,
You can’t put Tinnion in the same bracket as Murray.

Don't think anyone decent would dream of coming here with the present set up. Noone to oversee development in a number of areas and support will be of no interest to any applicant.
But we’ve already got a top end squad’ what’s not to like’

11 days til our next game.
Absolutely no point in keeping him here and seeing if we can fluke a result against Leicester.
It would just be very Bristol City to sack him after losing to Leicester.
Just do it now. There would be less disruption doing it now.
Season is over for us now so time to look ahead to next season. Get a new guy in and then he's got til the end of the season to analyse the squad and build some momentum going into next season.
It’s far to logical to do it now’ it’s not how we work.

I still think a manager could perform in spite of what’s above him…and actually influence those above to change / educate them. But appreciate it might need an ally or at least someone with an open mind in there too.
There are at least a couple who have a lot of space in their mind

I'm not so sure, I remember back when we were planning the 'new AG', SL went and met with Brighton, there was a bit on the telly about them meeting and discussing how to do it. I'm not defending SL, but he has built a very successful company, and you don't do that by employing nodding dogs.
Not football wise he hasn’t

This is true, but then most fans say things like "I'm a Liverpool fan from Essex" or "I'm a Man U fan from Bedford" etc. I'd rather have the delightful self-conferred sense of superiority that comes from supporting your local club - no matter how shit they are.
You usually get yeah but who’s your prem club
