Looks like there are now only two relegation places left:
Derby get further points deduction
If only I had a microscope, I could find my tiny, tiny violin and play it for them
The way we are playing I would say only one relegation place up for grabs

Looking to start planning a Blackpool away trip for a group when we play them over the weekend of 5th Feb but don't want to book hotel and travel tickets etc. and risk the game being moved for Sky.
How far ahead do Sky select the chosen games for the month?
Can't imagine us at Blackpool is likely to be picked but you never know if Blackpool keep climbing up the table and we keep sliding down!
FA cup 4th round day so could be off anyway

If nige has been ill for a while why did we let Keith and paul leave. Surely at this stage there experience would have been vital. all very stange what is happening down at ashton gate.
Because they improved nothing had no impact at all on the performances on the pitch

Zak was City’s best player after Pearson came in last season.
To be honest that didn't take a lot the way we finished last season we were appalling

Imho Zak Vyner is an “ok” Championship player, never gonna set the world alight? He is closing in on 100 Championship appearances.
He can be a steady RB, or RCB in a 3. He makes mistakes, needs to cut those out. We are currently a bottom half Championship side, so he probably fits where we are, but if we harbour greater ambitions he will fall by the wayside….unless he improves with us.
Sooner he falls to the wayside the better he seems to lack concentration and gets caught out far to often for a championship player

Barton has been allowed to completely overhaul his squad (a squad who were outside the L1 relegation zone when he arrived) and practically bring in an entire new team. Pearson has been tasked to work within a very tight budget despite shipping out so many players in the Summer. I would argue that Pearson’s challenge is far bigger than Barton’s.
Ridiculous to compare the two, Barton should be doing far better than he is and we all knew what to expect from City this year and we knew it would be tough.Saying “we could get relegated and they could get promoted” is just stating the obvious. Sooner or later it will happen, we’ve found ourselves in the same division as other similar sized clubs before, Yeovil and Burton for example.
The problem is Pearson doesn't seem up to the task he has in front of him and he isn't even around now

Good win for them with 10 men . It might not be pretty but they would give us a tough game atm. Think they may be turning a corner although it pains me to say it. Local derby next season anyone?
The problem for us is we wouldn't give anyone a tough game at the moment
-
Probably be managed by Curtis Fleming for the next three months then Pearson comes back but we are already 10 points adrift Pearson then continues his fantastic home record of one win in 15 and loses the last 6 home games and city relegated by the end of march the good news is Pearson stays on next season

You had us getting relegated when we were 3rd at Christmas a couple of years ago though, so that's not exactly a startling revelation.
I wasn't far wrong then no game plan plenty of hoofball and hope for the best certainly won't get us near the play offs if that was the aim as Mr Gould was saying if you've enjoyed watching us this season you can't like football
-
Listening to that sounded very much like a white flag being raised and I would think relegation will be a certainty unless we get somebody else in to coach and organise

Good if they aren't getting any help in we've had it I have no faith in the people coaching and picking the side we are absolutely useless

So, the general tone tonight is:
- sack Pearson
What happens next then? What are the consequences of that action? What is solved by that action?
Get the feeling he may well walk due to health issues which may be the best thing all round, I can't see any thing about our game which has improved under his leadership the defence now looks as poor as ever leaking goals for fun if he goes so be it we've been poor with him I can't see it getting any worse with new leadership if Pearson stays we look doomed anyway without him who knows we would have to wait and see

If we try to park the bus only be a matter of time before we concede Coventry have some tricky wide players really don't see us keeping them out so we will have to have a go and take 1 or 2 of the few chances we create hopefully
-
We are sleeping walking towards league 1 this has been a slow decline but the way we play no game plan hoofball no width creating very little and totally rudderless and that includes the manager

That’s the spirit! Thank God you obviously weren’t around when we were following Terry’s heroes everywhere from 1983 - we reached rock bottom but we just trusted our manager and supported our team to the hilt - there was no sense of entitlement back then, we just backed our boys because they were wearing our shirt and they needed our help - the wailing these days when we lose a game in the 5th best division in Europe is just pitiful ... our modern fans wouldn’t have stayed the course when our club needed us the most back in the ‘80s ... I’m so grateful that I was able to witness those times and be part of a proper crowd of Bristol City supporters - home and away, we were proud to represent Bristol even though our team had limited abilities - but boy did they run their hearts out for our club, loved ‘em all ...
Terry Cooper had no money and worked with what he had at least he seemed to be able to coach players ,now wonderful Pearson has many players bought for large fees who have done well for other clubs but just can't get anything out of this team I will be at Coventry on Saturday and unfortunately can see us losing a third away game on the trot by 3 or more
-
The mentality of the team is weak home performances have been terrible all season ironically the best was first half against Swansea ,the away performances are starting to get the results they deserve I honestly think Coventry will beat us 3 or 4 nil
