Birmingham 5 goals at home all season then we come along good old Bristol City so soft it's unbelievable and finally a shot on target think we need Mike Bassett as manager couldn't be any worse than Pearson

Vyner misses a sitter sorry that was our goal

You're right. None of this is Pearson's fault. He's doing a brilliant job
He's the manager he sets the team up and sorts the tactics course he takes some of the blame team performances are no better with him in charge

3-0 we look like a relegation outfit no shots on target they have 3 and scored them all

That’s schoolboy from Vyner. Stand your ground, don’t get forced a yard the wrong side of the ball. Awful.
Vyner is a league 1 player at best

Sad thing about this is Birmingham haven't even had to work hard to beat us

1st half summary:
Its the best we've knocked it about fo weeks, but as usual, some of you just want to moan. The player opinion agendas out in force, can't wait to type a critical post, ignoring anything decent a player does.
We've played alright.
Brum knock an excellent cross....good challenge to make it difficult - OTIB they should score
Dasilva does the same - we haven't created anything.
"Vyner playing in the middle - WTF" - how has he done? How has it helped us get Kalas on the ball getting forward? Take the blinkers off...and some of you the sheepskin noseband too!!! Arghhh.
What a bunch of miserable tosseurs we have on here. Eff me.
A bit more care with the final pass and we can get something, there have been some good bit of build-up. Need to be less naive with the challenges on Deeney who has ref Hooper in his pocket.
Cue Deeney penalty second half

Yep. Still absolutely winnable from here though.
Need to show a killer instinct to win from here but get the feeling they will get another

Which is what we’ve done a few times, just lacking a bit of end product.
We’re an average-to-poor Championship team playing another average-to-poor Championship team. The game is panning out that way.
A game very low on quality

Birmingham another team not up to much. We are still in this.
Birmingham are very poor yet we can't quite test the goalkeeper

Not have they. Their goal was going wide until the deflection
I thought Bentley pushed one effort wide

I really don’t think we’ve been that bad compared to Brum. There is such a toxicity around the club at moment.
We still haven't had a shot on target

Why don't we ever get scabby luck like that?
Used it all up on Saturday

Birmingham lowest scorers in the league at home until tonight

What a pathetic goal

Oh god Vyners back

Whether he was onside or not 3-0 flattered us it really could have been 6 and Pearson is really struggling to get performances out of most players

NP’s interview was, as usual, realistic. He looked very fed up, as well he might.
I like the way he faces us to the reality.
The next task is for him to raise the players’ game. I wish him well and certainly don’t envy him. We can’t expect him to make silk purses out of sows’ ears overnight. I just hope he doesn’t get so fed up that he walks.
Shame he can't get a home performance out of his squad because I feel the tide is starting to turn against him

Yes Sunderland got a late equaliser.
Sunderland only dropped two points at home that season drawing with city and rovers

If we can score 5 tomorrow we may just win the game fingers crossed

I still think he's probably the best person available to turn this mess around, and let's be honest it was a huge mess. Our league position flattered us last season and Pearson was quite right in saying that had the season gone on another 10 games we'd have gone down.
However, it's not just his record here: played 28, won 6, drawn 8, lost 14.
It's Watford: played 22, won 7, drawn 5, lost 10
It's Leuven: played 56, won 18, drawn 15, lost 23
It's Derby: played 14, won 3, drawn 5, lost 6
Those appointments span the last 6+ years and in each job he's lost more games than he's won. I haven't totalled it, but I'm guessing Pearson's last 120 games or so in charge of a football club wouldn't make for pretty reading. There's about 34 wins there I think.
There is a nagging doubt in my mind as to whether we've got this manager in too late and his best years, which were at Leicester 2011-15, starting over 10 years ago, are behind him.
You see what cooper has done at forest so far I think you could be right football management now seems to be a young man's game

Didn't think he deserved the job after last season's efforts and on this season's performances he certainly doesn't seem to be the man to take this club forward shame really as people really wanted him to succeed but just don't think it's working and I really wonder if the players believe in him
