  1. have the players started to dump Manning's desire to "control" games and just go for it? As usual he credited "the plan" post match, or rather the players managing to implement his "plan", but did they? Whatever it was so much better. Side Q: who decided to switch ends?

    Twine

agree, Twine being on the pitch allowed Knight to play deeper and had his best game for ages. Not sure Twine is the second coming, Easter or not
  3. one of the infuriating things about all this is the decent performances on TV have been bringing a load of new fans, I've been telling them which bus stop to get off at, not to call us Bristol etc etc lots of students too. Can't imagine many sticking this period out.
  4. forgotten that, good Bristol turf
  5. that game when he broke his leg sticks in my mind, it wasn't a tackle, I think his studs caught in the turf but we all in the EastEnd went quiet - no one wanted to see Stan stretchered off, in fact we wanted to see him play - and you can't say that about many opposition players
  6. There was one midweek game when we could see what SOD was about, it never happened again. Was Southampton Manning’s one?
  7. As 3 home games in a row we'll probably never top these, incredible atmosphere -fighting for our 1st Division lives
  8. anyone know how Joe is getting on this season?
  9. but we never turned on him, he tried but simply couldn't score
  10. looking at the top goals of the season comp - Wells' passes=great goals
  11. Harbourside marquee in the Lloyds Amphitheatre is for the Gas Players' Awards tonight. Cue everyone's best jokes. I told the Gas official there it looked far too big and he snottily replied "we're got 500 coming". Cue more jokes. BTW they're sharing the cost with another function tomorrow...
