  1. For all those fans who love the purple and lime kit, would you still feel the same if the colours were reversed, with lime shirt and purple shorts?!

Not saying I specifically like this kit - it looks badly made. But the general pinstripe theme is a good one IMO.

Doncaster play in red and white hoops, but in fairness not many others do in the UK. That's not really the point though, the point is that the pinstripes are relatively unique to us.

I think Hamilton Academical do, if I’m not mistaken.

  3. It won’t be too long before we will be wondering what next year’s kit will look like. Personally, I don’t like this season’s shirt, not being a fan of stripes. I really liked the kit worn by City when we celebrated our win over Leeds back in 1974. I liked the simplicity of it, and especially liked the deep red colour of the shirt, with no frills.

Hope City go back to the simple designs of yesteryear, or maybe I’m too nostalgic for the old days! What say you?

Man City's demise can't come quick enough.

Assuming they're guilty of even a fraction of the financial doping charges they're accused of, then when the verdict eventually comes, it will be one of the biggest scandals in European football for many years.

And they'll be a big fat asterisk next to Pep and their achievements over the past 10 years.

I wonder if the same fate awaits them as happened to Rangers?

  5. A question for those who may know: I want to switch seats within the Dolman. According to the website I can only do this on April 24th.

However, a fellow fan has told me that if we renew our seats beforehand we can then switch them later. Is this so? I’m confused!

I don't care if I get shot down, that's fine, but I am sick of the negativity towards Tinnion.

I love the guy.  Pure and simple, he's a city legend and was in the team for my first four years as a fan and had a left peg I absolutely worshipped.

Anyway, I'm not here to talk about his football legacy, I think it's cruel and unfair the way he's treated on here, quite often as a figure of fun and with his intelligence and communication skills being mocked and belittled, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

He's not our enemy, he's our ambassador, he's a man who's gave most of his working career to our club, even though being a Geordie and having no previous affinity to the club.

We know he's not the best fit for the job he currently has, but he had the ambition to go for it, the same as his stint as a manager, he wasn't up to speed, but he had the ambition and drive to go for it.  I respect and love that.

It's not his fault if he's not right for the job, it's up the people above him if they feel he should be replaced.

Personally, I want him in charge of the academy, that's his best fit and hopefully he will be back there sometime in the future - back within his comfort zone.

But in the meantime, he will definitely be giving everything to the club and deserves much more respect and our support.

You don't have to love Pearson and hate Brian, you can appreciate them both!

And even though I don't agree with Manning being our gaffer, I can see the reasons why he was recruited.

    Very well said…

Why are Bradford still down there ? I know they have cheap tickets etc or at least they did 10/15 years ago but still get huge crowds in that league. Surely they should be up there more? When’s the last time they were in league one 5 season ago?

I have an old ex-schoolmate who is a longtime Bradford City fan, and he says they have had a series of unscrupulous owners, and pathetic managers. I’ve been there plenty of times, and the crowds are always big and vociferous, and very long-suffering ( but like us really!)

They do have one of the best kits in the league though! And Harry Potter was a fan!

I am a ST holder in E29. There isn’t an issue with persistent standing so you should be ok for the most part. As people empty out for their half time pint, those closest to the aisles will be obstructed, so perhaps a middle of the row seat will suit you better.

I’m aiming for about halfway down, between rows 20 & 29. At the moment I’m up near the top of E32, and find the climb a bit much these days!

  9. I’ve had a season ticket for several years in E32 in the Dolman Stand. As I’m now of pension age, and poorer in pocket, I’m considering moving my seat into a cheaper area, and I’m thinking of shifting to E29 instead.
When I look across to that section it looks to me to be where fans stand up during a game. Am I wrong? I hope so, because at sixty-nine years of age my legs won’t cope with that! Please advise…

Sense of honesty. As people have rightfully said, LM saw this job as a bigger and better step for his career. I am sure he came to us with every good intention. What I think he didn't factor in at any stage was BT involvement. I think he is pulling all the strings at the moment, he can baffle JL with his football knowledge, he can hoodwink academy players with his involvement generally and he can dictate to LM on a daily basis as he can probably opt when to pull the plug. I don't think it's rocket science either that certain players have had enough, they perform in the big games in the hope of a move and could really care about the lower matches as they don't see their futures at lower clubs. Tonight will be a good example I feel. I was of the opinion that NP time was probably up and I felt a young manager with good coaches supporting him might be the answer, what i didn't expect was BT becoming the background manager in what really now is his 2nd spell in charge.

answer. Get rid  of BT now, give LM the chance to show us if he is capable without others interference. See  if he can manage and coach the players in a way that they support him , their team mates and the fans.

But Tinnion’s job is as director of football, that’s his job! The rest is pure speculation

Pretty sure the AG pitch has traditionally been one of the biggest in the league.

LJ insisted it was narrowed during his time here - too much grass to measure?

These days the width in particular seems to vary according to how the current manager thinks it best suits his style of play, so no idea of LM's preference or where AG stands in comparison with other pitches now.

Am I right in saying that Port Vale have the biggest pitch?

For all of our players the passing angles were incredibly difficult to find today & he & Rob Dickie were having to try eye of a needle stuff at times.

I can’t see us choosing to line up without him in the side either as his pace is invaluable.

    Fair enough. Point taken.

  13. I like Zak. He deserved all his accolades over the past couple of seasons, but of late his passing has become really casual. Sometimes he just nonchalantly prods it forward to no one in particular, or towards a teammate without any power behind the pass. What’s happening? Is this a blip in a previously flawless season, or is he losing concentration? If he carries on like this he may well end up being left out of the starting lineup.
