I like Zak. He deserved all his accolades over the past couple of seasons, but of late his passing has become really casual. Sometimes he just nonchalantly prods it forward to no one in particular, or towards a teammate without any power behind the pass. What’s happening? Is this a blip in a previously flawless season, or is he losing concentration? If he carries on like this he may well end up being left out of the starting lineup.

I remember visiting Vicarage Road as a teenager back in the late 60s/ early 70s with my uncle, who lived in Watford. They played Hereford United, and my uncle pointed out one of the Hereford players as the renowned John Charles who apparently was a legend at the end of his illustrious career.

Apart from sports people and coaches I never hear anybody else in ordinary life use the expression “ to be fair”! It’s certainly one of LM’s favourite sayings!

I appreciate we all have our idiosyncrasies, but I was getting irritated by his habit of looking down at the ground every time he was asked a question. Hope somebody has a word with him.

They’clearly want a ‘head coach’ rather than a manager. Someone who knows their place. I’ve always defended Steve Lansdown. No longer. Pearson was our best manager since Alan Dicks. Just think what Nige could achieve with City if he was I. The job for fourteen years or so!
