We have a history of turning excellent loans into terrible permanent signings, Tomlin being the obvious example. Whilst I wouldn’t put Jay into that category I do not think he has met expectations since signing on a perm. I’ve known an ex Bristol City player for a decade, both before he signed for them, during his time here and afterwards. Very friendly, saw each other daily and worked closely in a business and professional relationship. He told me things that were fact, he told me things that was utter bollocks. One thing you learn is to take things with a pinch of salt.

No I completely understand, I assumed you had some actual evidence to be so confident when in reality “he told me”.

Of course it is. The only way it wouldn’t be is if you are the one who drew up the contract. You mentioned that James is “definitely” on 15k+, again, you are either assuming or pretending to be itk. Reality is like most you just don’t know.

He is similar to Bentley in that he is an excellent shot stopper but can also make really poor mistakes. Certainly attempts to be more dominant. He is playing for his long term future and like many I am undecided as to whether he is a long term championship number 1.
