  1. Blues supporter in peace , Its interesting to see how the other teams fans see a game and having a read through this thread i'd thought i might add a view from the blues angle . Lots of blues fans are a bit chuffed at the way we have come out of the blocks this year in our four games Swansea away / Chelt away / Leeds home and you guys we have conceded a total of 7 shots on target and 6 of them were against Swansea so defensively we must be doing something right , going forward we are ( just like every other championship team ) desperate for a striker , the juke is old and can't run and hogan is a confidence player who will score 10 a season but will hit a purple patch getting them all in a 6 game spell then nothing much else . Where we are different from the last few years is in our transfer dealings , the past years we have been stuffed with loan players just to be able to put out a poor team , this year we have brought in 9 or so players and given them all 4-5 year deals ( to help with ffp ) and most of them come under the " shows promise but " category . Last year we started ok and were 8-10 place before the world cup break when it all went wrong . The manager seems to be loved by the players and the players seem to know that they will develop their game and be moved on to bigger and better things if they play well . As for ffp we are well stuffed this year , but come the end of the season we can get rid of a lot of high earners that the last owners took on with crazy contracts and with the takeover things have changed , the club shop can't get the merch quick enough , we sold out the first 4 games and next week against plymouth is already all but sold out the feel good factor is as good as i can ever remember (50 odd years). The new owners have pumped loads of cash in to getting St Andrews sorted after years of neglect ( doesn't count against ffp ) and are promising us a bright future , there is talk of a move to a new stadium and we have brought in Gary Cook as ceo who is a blues fan and was the bloke responsible for sorting out man city and the (cough cough ) Saudi league . Us fans see this year as holding/building year , we will be happy with a finish in the top half , satisfied with avoiding relegation (again) . Our first team look ok , but we are paper thin , but who knows eh , still might get in a couple of exciting loans , its just nice to be looking forwards rather the last decade of decay if you want to get a feel for things blue might i suggest you have a look at Smallheath Alliance fans forum and if you want a football horror story check out almajir.net which is written by a blues fan about our previous owners shenanigans and who many of us blues fans feel saved the club Anyways good luck for the rest of the season KRO
