  1. Green Onions Booker T and the MGs
  2. I think land for housing is approx 100,000 per house
  3. Fair play to the gas regime, I was chatting to a ground worker today, he said dropping kerbs can be quite a major job, it can even involve getting permission from the council so for the gas to get that done already I think shows they really are a club on the up, I really do think they are coming for us and to get new curtains and carpet aswell how the hell can we compete against that ?
  4. I can't believe that new curtains and a lick of paint are newsworthy items, its the sort of thing that may be in a village newsletter re a local mid somerset team, sounds like they will be asking local decoraters and curtain makers to give up their Sunday mornings to carry out the work for a couple of pints, I ALMOST feel sorry for them !!!!
  5. Why are they not headbutting the police van windows ?
  6. Spoke to a gashead acquaintance this week who said the old bill have been warning pubs etc on Gloucester Rd that "them teds" are heading to the Millets Stadium this Sunday to say hello to the Gas and Millwall, so it looks like if there is any problems "them teds" will get the blame, getting the excuses in early this time.
  7. I'm thinking of getting some t shirts printed with " I was at Brentford when Tammy scored, Reds on tour up the M4" £19.99 before kick off if he doesn't score I'll buy them back for £5.
  8. That T shirt is not for real surely?
  9. 4000 away is a good following can't knock that but its been years since they have played the likes of Coventry, Sheffield Utd, Bolton etc so those type of games are a big draw for a team that have only been in the football league for 2 years and if you had to play home games in one of the worst grounds in the league and worse than many in the Conference a trip to somewhere like Coventry must seem like a trip to Wembley and I'm guessing they haven't played there before so a new ground for them.
  10. Really pleased for all of us tonight especially the 950 that made the trip, what does it feel like to get a win !!!!!
  11. Keep saying this but feel sorry for the hundreds that made the trek today they deserve better.
  12. The gas are fine when rampaging through the non league at places like Woking and Dover but when they come up against the bigger boys like Millwall etc their amazing away support decide to go Xmas shopping
  13. Pretty sure the capacity at Twerton back then was over 9k.
  14. 6 points from 3 games is a good start, 4 points from the next 2 games will be a fantastic start and a massive well done to those that went tonight in good numbers I've done that journey and it really is the highway to hell and back especially on a Tuesday night
  15. To be fair the support they take away is not bad and you can't compare to Liverpool and Utd as a percentage as those clubs won't get offered the same amount of tickets as a percentage of their home support, if you look at percentage of home v away they probably out do us, I think most clubs average away support of 5 to 10 % of home gates, we are in that area but not towards the higher end, they probably are,but their home gates are and always will be abysmal
  16. To be fair there away support is not bad considering how many they get at home. The home crowds are abysmal and have always been the same, I can remember them harping on about Don Megsons loyal 6,000 many years ago at Eastville, mind you if you had to watch football at that dump of a ground that they play at now you probably would be keener to go away my subbutteo stadium when I was young was better and probably had bigger crowds. Also you have to take into account that they have only been a league club since last May !!!!
