  1. Don't recall being kept in the ground last season at all!

We were held up for 5mins on the roads outside & then the police kept us penned in for about 90mins in the pouring rain outsider the station as multiple trains came and went.... It was an absolute carve up 🀬

  2. Anyone give a reason why Ltn Cmdr Data (manning) deserved the Job in the first place... Or why he still deserves to be paid by us?

Had a below average rate of playing home grown talent..

    No achievements in mens football.

Has contrived to take us straight down the pits and bored us whilst doing it.

    Absolute 🚽show.

I think that the academy has sent enough good messages already.

And Bath City has been a very good club for a number of our best academy players "on loan". Yeboah was introduced to the first team either as a result of need or as a point- my guess is the former as I dont think Nige played games. He showed glimpses of good potential but nothing more. A loan is brilliant for him and I hope he does really well then has another go at BS3 at some point next season.

I've no doubt he'll have a terrific loan and will score/create plenty - he'll have to much for that level in my opinion πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

    And good luck to him.

My issue is I'd rather he got minutes with us this season, as raw as he is, he's honest and direct, I'd rather him than Cornick, Mehmeti & Mebuda.

  4. I think the sticking point is this move has taken minutes/exposure away from Yeboah in favour of bringing in another youngster on loan...

Doesn't send a good message to the academy.

Also, from what we've seen, Yeboah is bigger, quicker and much more direct and brave than Mebuda.

Also, I'd say that national League South is a step or 2 to low for very promising 17yr old with 12 championship sub appearances to his name.

  5. Not at all happy with this.

He should be getting the minutes/exposure that we've ridiculously brought Mebude in to take.

Mebude has absolutely nothing more than our own Yeboah has got from what we've seen so far.

A pathway blocking loan in my eyes.

Good luck to Eph at Bath, think they've got a steal.

Cooper would want a big budget.

Are we going that way anymore? After all the hard work and pain of Summer 2021 to January 2023.

I'd personally not like to see us return to unsustainable spending, no.

I'd not really take the transfer dealings of his time at Forest to seriously though, not entirely sure he had much input into that circus act.

  7. Hugely hypothetical at this time, but...

If the club were to dismiss Manning now, I'd love us to go for Cooper, do I think either are likely? Not a chance for either.

    I don't think they'd sack Manning, the ego's won't allow it.

And I don't think they'd go for Cooper, makes to much sense.

  8. I think he's well & truly out of his depth and the sooner he's gone, the better.

He has achieved nothing in mens football, and was dismissed from MK Dons after a huge drop in form - the given reason is they sold Twine and didn't replace - this for me has huge alarm bells ringing... We are a club that bases our business model on selling big & reinvesting cheaper.

Manning's CV is - sold, couldn't replace and got sacked!Β

Yesterday was my 10th away game of the season, I'm also a season ticket holder. The absolute s***show I saw yesterday is still infuriating me now!!

Those players were arguing amongst themselves, looked very poorly coached and our fitness levels have dropped massively - they are not as fit as they were under Nige - just maybe he knew what he was doing with giving them regular breaks from training 😏

I would also say the body language of those players indicated they aren't playing for him, or at the least have no confidence in him.

For me, I'd replace him today and offer it to King for remainder of season.

And it goes without saying that Tinnion needs dropping back to academy and we find a proper DofF.

This is just too simplistic a way of looking at it. There are two teams which influence the game.

If we play against a team (QPR possibly on Saturday) who sit back, men behind the ball and let us have it, we simply can’t play like we did tonight, even if we wanted to.
    Β

We have to be better in those games when possession is more equal, or in our favour.Β

    True.

But, the arguement against your point is we haven't had any success or entertainment value playing a possession based game under Manning..

I don't believe we have the players to do that.

    Β

When a team sits back is generally when the stadium falls asleep and social media erupts ... Because it's boring to watch and the result will be poor.

    Β

Can Manning sign players so we can play both styles and have an answer for all circumstances? Time will tell

  10. What a brilliant result and performance tonight πŸ‘

Biggest takeaway for me - the change in style over last few weeks.

I'd say West Ham away was the noticeable difference, we were playing a quality side who simply wouldn't let us play the boring keep ball we have been under Manning, so we reverted to counter attacking football to a degree, and had some success.

Over the last few weeks, I've seen us move back to a counter attacking side - these players were signed for this style under Nige - and we look a million miles better for it, we look far more dangerous and it's definitely more entertaining to watch.

Tonight, those midfielders were tackling hard and snapping into every lose pass before we absolutely went forward at pace... Last seen at Swansea away before the injuries!

This, for me is the style I want to see and what these players are best at.

Always a side that has that late surge into playoffs πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

  11. Good afternoon all,

Are any of you aware of any private coach travel ran by fans?

Not CATS, far to strict for me.

Looking for any that don't mind a few tins on the journey, pub stops etc.

Used to travel on the coaches from Weston which were brilliant for this.

If any could point me in a direction that would be great ⚽
