  1. Doubt it but it’s certainly taken attention away from the job in hand. She needs to get a handle on on it and fast. But I’m not sure she cares
  2. By the looks of it they are a standalone company which covers all the sports and AG perhaps on a retainer type contract? I saw their name at the end of the Ashton Gate promo video so they’re not City specific
  3. “Please Leave” but in the meantime you can do this.
  4. Tommy running round hitting the back of the net and looking all smug. Hopefully he can do it on a Matchday
  5. Gone by the looks of it? Job advertised on LinkedIn and other places. Could this be a turning point in comms? https://www.bristol-sport.co.uk/jobs/head-of-communications/
  6. Perhaps, but direct messaging fans on social media regarding a deal is not how you conduct yourself as someone in a position as senior as that. You brief the media and share your message that way. Sometimes people want to be in senior positions but can’t relinquish nor set up the barriers to those ‘at the coal face’ and actually find themselves moving back down. Communication from the club has been abysmal at all times this season, that doesn’t mean that in an attempt to improve this I want our senior leadership sharing this type of information privately on social media.
  7. I think the fear there could be it would turn into a cemetery if people aren’t in their places. I wouldn’t disagree with turning it down a bit though
  8. I think it’s common practise for Away team first, I do think there could be some more emphasise on the home team announcements though. Some enthusiasm to ramp things up. Music etc is a difficult one as you’re trying to cater for many age groups. Something like this perhaps?
  9. And Connolly duly obliged in his celebration to make a point of that!
  10. Oh cumon Mr Grinch you must be a little toasty inside
  11. This Pring X Mehmeti partnership has really flourished in the last two games let’s hope it continues.
  12. He’s already explained why he did that in one of the future interviews when he was asked why, and I don’t necessarily disagree, both were blowing and we have enough injuries than put both of them in the hospital wing too
  13. Saving legs and playing minutes/ tiring are two very different things and from his previous interviews he responded in the latter in making changes for impact as players tired. I didn’t see this as a negative, he likes 100% to 60 mins than 70% for 90
  14. ‘Too many cooks’ and all that could never be truer right now. From what I’ve heard Tom Rawcliffe was a major factor in getting us to where we are now with ffp. I don’t see him as a leader though, he needs to step up and be seen or move back to a more traditional CFO role and allow someone with true Operational experience step up
  15. Doesn't have to be and let’s hope it isn’t long term, just needs comms of what it really is. Clearly Jon is taking a more active role. No argument with that really, but saying BT is growing into his role is highly misleading. The only bit I can see him taking from a CEO is the contract/recruitment piece. (Which PA claimed he did everything for Scott transfer). Commercial piece is a central Bristol Sport task so Operations and comms are the only real remaining pieces of the puzzle, one of which we know is poor and the other in reality is the glue to it all.
  16. Fair point, and I don’t disagree. I’d say at least you know where you stand but we never really do. Just a bunch of mixed messages. The board really needs some organisation and cohesiveness, which is in reality the primary job of a CEO. I’ve always found in business even if you don’t like the direction being given, if senior management are aligned at least you are clear on a direction. I’m surprised Knights and Barton are still in place as they are the gatekeepers.
  17. Could be worth raising it via the SC&T on suggestions to improve in the ground stuff? Outside I think it’s improved loads and much better than many grounds I’ve visited.
  18. Are there clubs in the PL & EFL who don’t own the club but do choose their managers ahead of their board? Forest for example, as much as what Cooper did for them and singing his name from the stands, most are actually pleased he’s been replaced.
  19. Although we were under some serious pressure it didn’t feel like Vyner and Dickie were. It was mainly down the lines and they were forcing corners, Cam and George had a thorough bashing for 90 mins but we absorbed the pressure really well
  20. I can see him getting a new contract in the summer, on much lower wages and a 1 or 2 year term but I imagine his influence in the dressing room is huge for the team cohesiveness and morale. Much like Henderson is still around for England and Scott Carson at Man City
  21. Well I f***** up Wouldn’t let me assign at first so gone through as two separate transactions so won’t be sat together. As it’ll be a sell out I doubt we can switch seats. Upper seating now sold out just 1200 rail left
