  1. Worst ref in the efl tonight. He will give them something.
  2. Holden’s coaching credentials are grossly inferior to both Manning and McKenna. A strange comparison.
  3. I wonder where Ipswich would be if they decided to hire Steve Bruce rather than McKenna.
  4. Yes fair point - I meant to say players who probably don’t have a long term future here, largely due to not fitting into LM plans and contract running down. The likes of Weimann, Williams and King who I assume won’t be getting new deals.
  5. I think you have misinterpreted my point, I don’t question anything you have highlighted above, I’m just talking about my personal experience of the football, which i didn’t enjoy, bar the emergence of Scott of course.
  6. Yes because I’m actually interested in our club again. I don’t disagree with any of this - but I didn’t enjoy it at all, partly down to some of the reasons you mention.
  7. I have to be honest I found the Pearson era thoroughly unenjoyable.
  8. Shouldn’t be playing regular football at this level yet - that LW side is a problem.
  9. I’ve seen all those things - with a squad that is about as far removed from that style or play as possible, we are asking players such as Williams, Cornick, Bell etc to play fast moving intricate football - I think Manning deserves credit for the progress we have made already, even if it has been displayed only in spells. I find it amazing that you are expecting a side, that has been toothless since the the WSM days to play fast attacking football 5 games in - I’ve seen it in spells already - and if it wasn’t for poor individual mistakes largely by a player who isn’t championship standard we would have had a very positive return. Personally I’m pleased what I’ve seen so far, and agree wholeheartedly with the original poster - really looking forward to seeing our side for the first time in a long time - and look forward to Manning having 1) time 2) money to spend so we can clear out the deadwood and replace with players more suited to his style.
  10. No it had nothing to do with those things - it is well documented that Sunderland were only willing to offer him a rolling 12 month deal, where as Stoke offered him a 3 year contract.
  11. I genuinely think that we have progressed more in 5 games under Manning than Stoke did after 17 months of Alex Neil. Another manager whose stock is falling.
  12. This is just nonsense. Manning is very highly rated and been tipped for championship jobs since the job he did at MK. This idea that BCFC didn’t know what they were getting with him is just pie in the sky made up nonsense.
  13. Hi my first post, I agree with this it’s nice to see us have patterns of play and trying to have some form of identity, which we have lacked for years. I do think the reason we struggle to maintain the positive moments is mental fatigue, players aren’t used to this style and some you could argue don’t have the skill set - but I can definitely see what he is doing so I agree with the OP
