  1. Well just got back from the game, soaking wet and pretty bored by the football played.

All made worse by the fact I’m sure there were less park and ride buses operating today.

Anyway if I’m repeating what others have already said I apologise but I haven’t read through the whole thread.
Here goes, I know George Tanner gets a lot of abuse for playing the ball backwards but he had no other option most of the time today with Weimann playing in front of him or not as was the actual case.

i thought when a good option for a forward pass was on then George took it.

Our movement today was poor and I even heard Zak Vyner very clearly shout “F*^+~._ Move” to the players ahead of him today.

Millwall outmuscled us today and that style of team generally get the better of us.

We desperately need someone who can unlock these stubborn defences like Millwall and Birmingham and provide a spark to our play and get the fans excited.

I’d love to see us play 2 up top sometimes as I don’t think being a lone front man is Tommy Conway’s game at all.

That’ll do for now and let’s hope Mark Sykes isn’t out for too long.

Rob A hoping to be in contention just after the West Ham game....

Good news, I wonder what Mannings

preferred CB pairing will be ? I like Vyner, Dickie and Atkinson.

Plus theres Naismith who I think makes us a better side with his passing.

They can’t all play or maybe we’ll look at a back 3.

Maybe. They pressed pretty high though so he wasnt given much time on the ball as usual.

Showed why it’s preferable to have a right and left footed centre back pairing.

  4. Well I’ve got to say I actually quite enjoyed that.

Sunderland were slicker and will feel aggrieved that they haven’t left with at least a point.

But I enjoyed the fact that we stood firm and kept a clean sheet when we’ve all seen us concede under that sort of pressure previously.

We’re a team in transition and I think I can see some change in our style but we have players who aren’t particularly comfortable in possession or in moving the ball quickly, so it’s not as fluid as it could be.

3 points and onto another tough game against Hull.

  5. New member posting for the first time,

and no I’m not an employee of Bristol Sport.

Looking forward to tomorrow with some pessimism but hopefully we can take the three points.

Sunderland seem a young and quick side who we will need to press and not leave space in behind us.

I think there will be a few goals but on current form I don’t think a point would be the worst result.
