  1. F-me. was busy most of the 2nd half, but got chat messages from a mate at the game. I might have a beer after work to celebrate.
  2. Stuck at work and have let Player subscription lapse: any stenographers online to transcribe the radio commentary in real time for me?
  3. Only on a temp. basis, but the City contingent in Brisbane swelled by 2 last year: I was across for the cricket, and bumped into another City fan in the hostel. They are there, you just need to look a bit harder......
  4. Round trip, as the crow flies, Cayman to Heathrow is 9,580 miles. Add a couple of hundred getting to Bristol, and little change out of 10,000. Anybody top that yet? Edit: just saw megansdad's post. I'll settle for silver.
  5. I used to live next door to a house full of students. As expected, my sleeping patterns (as a working man) differed from theirs, and for ages I had to deal with music blaring through the walls at all hours. I exacted my revenge the frequent times when I was working away from home: I'd turn the speakers towards the wall, leave the volume at full, and set the timer on my stereo to come on between approx 4am-8am.
  6. Two more that are not up there in the cheery stakes: 'Tell Laura I love her', can't recall who by 'Emma' Hot Chocolate (or Sisters of Mercy, for a real downer)
  7. Rather a harsh statement given their rather more upbeat moments.
  8. Its a cracking tune, one of my all-time favourite tracks, though I admit it is not going to get many people tapping their feet and/or humming along.
  9. Are you asking for music that would provide a wonderful, soothing backdrop to the act of suicide, or music that actually drives you to want to slash your wrists? If the former, then Atmosphere (the Joy Division version), if the latter, then Atmosphere (the Russ Abbott version).
  10. Bryan Mitchell. Often repeated by me on this board, but a player who looked so out of his depth it was untrue. Terrible, terrible player for us. From what I have seen of the current crop (which, admittedly is not a great deal), Clayton Fortune has had the worst performance that I remember. Didn't we buy Pennyfather with some of the cash we got for Andy Cole? What a swap that proved to be.
