Afternoon lads,
Well let me fill you in on this boy, he is a striker who IMO shouldve got his chance at Rangers. He broke through the season before last and made a few goal scoring appearances from the subs bench, and was expected to play more this season, but with Rangers having Mols, De Boer, Thompson and Lovenkrands as strikers, Alex McLeish felt it would be more beneficial if he was loaned out for a season to gain first team experience.
He was loaned out to S****horpe United, where he finished their leading scorer with 25 league goals, and he was out for a a month or two with an injury. He was expecting to return to Rangers at the end of the season and be given a fair chance of making the first team, but Alex McLeish seems to have had other plans.
During the summer Rangers have signed Dado Prso from Monaco on a free transfer, which basically spelt the end of any chance McLean had at Rangers.
He has attracted interest from Sheffield Wednesday, Hull City and Bristol City. He is quite a big forward, who is a strong runner, not fast but strong and he knows where the back of the net is. In the Scottish media it is being rumoured that City and Hull are looking to snap him up for £100,000, and i feel this could be a great signing for City.
Hope this helps
Cheers
