"The club has already announced that they are to refurbish the South Stand by to include adding a fixed roof and a new flooring to the currently tent-like structure."

    "Tent-like structure"?

That's like saying Rovers are "pikey-like"

And I despair at drunken football managers in pubs with 'the lads '

    punching horses

    Inventing amazing attendances

Stealing  and trying to steal other peoples grounds

    Racially abusing players

    Shall I go on..?

But like you I really do despair, funny old world ain't it.

The infrastructure remains unchanged with poor vehicular access and inadequate parking.

That could describe Anfield, Goodison, White Hart Lane or Chelsea etc, surely they are not suggesting that their school sports ground will be better than those grounds just because they have a car park?

The facilities are such that its main source of income is only ever going to be football. A modern football stadium needs to move with the times and become multi-fuctional.

Have they not seen the facilities that are already available and will only increase once the West Stand is finished? They are the epitome of what a modern multi functional stadium should provide. Their facilities will be difficult to access during term time, due to traffic and parking restrictions.

I'm glad we've redeveloped rather than move to a place in the middle of nowhere with no chance of a pre match pint in a decent pub

Give me that over MK Dons where your choice is either Frankie and Bennys or TGI Fridays

Good luck on the building site against Bolton later yeah.

Hardly surprising, there's some building work going on but I guess the Gash must get confused with the portable tents and portakabins that make up your gaff.

  5. So glad we are developing AG rather than building an off the shelf stadium in the middle of nowhere

Give me the pubs around Ashton / Bemmy that add to the match day experience and help generate an overall atmosphere rather than having to drink a pint from a plastic cup stood outside Frankie & Bennys

As for JET - a few nice through balls and a couple of decent touches here and there but overall he seems to be carrying a little more timber since he left us. Was said to see him go but don't think I'd want him back based on the little he offered today, unless of course he couldn't find it within himself to try too hard against given how much he enjoyed his spell with us

Mickey got plenty of good natured abuse and fair play to him for clapping the City fans at the end, the *****
