Because he is a 20 goal a season Championship striker if he gets fit and will do much better than Steve Lansdown's Bristol City
-
Who is the other two? I think there is no chance of Conway signing a new deal unless his injury problems continue
-
Fair point, I guess we don't know when he agreed the deal but I sure know the club have released it now to take some of the heat off
-
Well done Zak, thank you for staying with us

Massengo - Signed for Burnley

How's he managed that ? -
If we've just got 25m in without any spending plans, I don't understand what difference an extra 3 or 4m will make
-
Pearson is a legend. Let's get behind him and the boys and see where it goes instead of silent AG **** the Lansdowns
-
Well if he had managed what every single club of similar standing and many lower have achieved in the last 25 years (except perhaps Sheff Wed) and get promoted to the PL, then there's his profit right there
-
I don't think the squad is underperforming at all. We have an average goalkeeper, a good defence, a collection of adequate defensive style midfielders without any attacking flair, workmanlike wide players and one fit 33 year old striker.

I think the fanbase have been rightly very understanding over the last three, poor, seasons and they have been fed a message that this year is for a play off push. Instead we see barely any reinvestment (and no I'm not talking 5 players on 20k p/w but one or two starting players in the right positions) and other similarly resourced clubs like Stoke, Coventry, Birmingham, Hull going for it and improving in a way that we are not. In fact we barely look capable of scoring.

I didn't go last night but Sykes looked very prominent as the central attacking midfielder? Maybe an answer of sorts to our problem of no link between midfield and attack O'Leary Tanner Vyner Dickie Pring James Knight Sykes Cornick Wells Bell

I thought she was largely good. If she happened to be reading this for some constructive comments then I felt she could have used players names more instead of Norwich this , Norwich that -
Got shot down on here for suggesting he plays like Ryan Kent on my first impression. Maybe not the attitude but the individualist head down style, that doesn't fit with the team effort and direct counter attacking style Hopefully he will improve, doesn't sound like he has in 8 months.

Said it before , il say it again. Don't trust XG and haven't since Diedhiou tap in from a barely trickling cross on the goal line at Fulham was only about 0.6XG. Great team move though
-
Wigan, an absolutely tiny club, won the FA Cup 10 years ago You really think they'd swap their last 25 years for ours under Lansdown??

If there was a takeover in the next 12 months...

Lansdown is binning him off in 8 months anyway.... -

Up until this year I have never understood the attraction of a new investor. Whether they have 500million or 500billion we are only allowed to lose a certain amount due to FFP and we have been at the limit. However now I perceive that SL is not reinvesting in the team correctly at the moment and there are many clubs of similar finances going for it in a way that we are not. I also fundamentally disagree with his attitude to Pearson and ultimately the fact we have never really challenged for the Prem is a big stain on SLs chairmanship. It's not necessarily time for new money, as FFP as FFP but it's time for new thoughts at the top. -

Great move for him, surely only upwards for that massive club -
Is that at the Blackthorn End or Empty End? Classic if it's the latter
-
Everytime they are coming for us they do then things like losing to Cambridge and Wycombe. Love em.

Taylor Gardner-Hickman - Signing confirmed

I've rated Mulumby very highly since he dominated a game at AG for Millwall. If TGH is better than that sounds good to me -
Taylor Moore deliberately headed it within his control. The Hull defender didn't have control. That's the distinction in the law but it's probably wrong as the Hull defender was deliberately trying to block it

Roberts LB, Pring LM. Which gives great flexibility for Roberts to push inside knowing there is Pring for protection out wide
-
Time for a Roberts Pring combo down the left? Neither Mehmeti nor Bell convince me at all
