  1. Australia going to be a victim of the schedule today. Hard for the lesser team to get back up with only 2 days between games. 4-0 Argentina
  2. Not sure I can get on board with that looking at his Wikipedia but I guess everyone is human and there is no all good and all bad
  3. On the contrary, Netherlands played with much more of a handbrake
  4. Netherlands churning out the results with German style efficiency
  5. If it was Bergkamp yes As it was that Wright no
  6. The kind of goal only a Bas Savage sort could score
  7. I think USA are going to dominate this game in many ways but don't they have the ability to score a goal like that
  8. This is gonna be a great game That Dest seems like a really good player for USA
  9. True, however we changed 4 and smashed the Welsh for 3
  10. Loving the World Cup so far, much better spectacle than the Euros Second round games look quite mundane though
  11. If they want 48 they need to do a preliminary stage for the outsiders imo Better still just stick to the absolutely perfect number of 32
  12. They've caught up with the usual schedule now at least, 2nd round always starts on a Saturday. Seems a bit unfair on Australia and Argentina though to play Wednesday and Saturday
  13. Well done England for qualifying with the best record out of all 32 teams My inclination is Brazil's half of the draw is incredibly weak and ours is much stronger
  14. If you give me £100 right now I'll give you £100k if England beat Germany in the final
  15. Group E winners get Croatia, Brazil, Netherlands/Argentina as a likely run to the final Group E runners up (Germany probably, as a reward to losing to Japan) get Morocco, Portugal, France/England as a likely route
  16. I think VAR is showing up the technical incompetence of some refs that's for sure. They can't hide behind oh didn't see it anymore. That goal would have been given in England without a doubt (Taylor Moore v Assombolonga, Rovers defender v West Brom years ago, many many examples where a deliberate touch from the defender automatically makes the attacker onside)
