  1. Yes, they did indeed. They also did once try that at Ashton Gate for a short time in the early 80's, iirc. Thankfully that didn't work out and they went off to Bath.
  2. Again, who are you to tell people whether they should or shouldn't "hate" them..? I'm sure the vast majority of us on here know, work with or are even related to those of a Rovers persuasion. I doubt many actually "hate" them as individuals, but then it comes to football, I most certainly do "hate" everything about Rovers. Their inferiority complex, their thinking they are super fans, the history of our rivalry and outspoken venom towards City from different figure heads of their club. Even the sight of that ridiculous quartered shirt or the drone of the god awful "Irene" dirge make me feel physically sick. Does that make me immature..? Then so be it. As fans of my age and older will recall, we have plenty of old rivalry, disgraceful behaviour, antagonism and regularly derby day confrontation to keep the hostility very much at the forefront of our memories. If you are liberal enough to pass your experiences off and "forgive and forget", then good for you. I for one will despise Bristol Rovers until the day I die. That doesn't mean on a day to day basis that I "hate" every individual who follows them.
  3. And there sums up the retarded mentality of the blue few. Do you not understand that the reason we mock your shithole of a ground is because it actually is, literally, the worst ground in the football league and the fact that your "billionaire"owner deems it fitting for "the 6th richest club in England" to put up another tent with seats and a 4ft roof over the Directors bar entrance is in a whole different galaxy to Ashton Gate, which has been developed into one of the most impressive, uniquely designed stadiums (not biggest, before you try and twist it) in the country. #gaslogic
  4. That is such an obnoxious reply! Who are you to tell people what they should find humorous and who or where to post their "banter"..? If there were numerous threads appearing, then you'd have some point, but with everything appearing in one thread, clearly entitled to suggest the topic of content that it may contain, it's easy to avoid if people's reference to your friends is not to your own particular taste. As a 37 year old lifelong City supporter, damn right I enjoy mocking the blue few at the never ending shambles that is their club. You have every right not to like it, not to partake in the ridicule and be the more mature, forgive and forget type pacifist. Just as I and others have the right to comment on each and every episode of their, quite frankly hilarious, circus and mock their dillusional beliefs. Especially on a thread clearly entitled "Bristol Rovers" Get off your high horse and stop re-confirming the views of many on here, that you are a cantankerous old git with a sickening soft spot for those in Horfield who in return, dillusionally mock us every bit as we do to them.
  5. Just to clarify, is it mature or immature to consistently post on a thread, telling others not to post in the thread..?
  6. This must be how you become a billionaire. Leading to ownership of the 6th richest club in the league. Don't spend any money!
  7. I can't decide if their result last night was right up there with losing to Bath & Hitchen etc. I was going to say Altrincham but then remembered that was a (non) league game and they were entitled to lose against another club at their level, without too much ribbing.
  8. Some might say "the Barcelona of L1"...?!
  9. LIAR! How dare you suggest that Rovers haven't sold out their initial allocation! Don't you know who they are..?!
  10. There is a very subtle clue in the thread title about what you might find on this one.
  11. I may have missed something, but as far as I'm aware there has been no extra allocation requested by Rovers for Chelsea and strangely not announcement of tickets being sold out..?
  12. Amazing how many Rovers' fans got tickets in the away end for Newcastle, seeing as their allocation sold out to those who had the maximum Catagory of away points on their loyalty system and must A) go to most away games & B) not want to risk being banned by letting their allocated seat tickets fall into the hands of some scroat from the dark side.
  13. Of course not, however that won't stop them completely making things up. Better support, Richer owner, in their new stadium before we are, more loyal, coming for us, blah blah blah.
  14. I have the condensed version. They stole stole it from the Rugby club at a time when they were struggling.
  15. On a seperate note, it's interesting to see that in the footballing "backwater" of ours, we have 30,000 people attending home matches this week. It makes you wonder how big Bristol, as a one club city, could be. Of course I'm not even remotely suggesting the ludicrous merger idea, but the sooner Rovers crawl away & die, the better.
  16. If you are in the pub and didn't know we were playing, then WTF are you doing on here man..?!
  17. Exactly! I think we are going to lose this one anyway, so I'd much rather we had a go at them.
  18. Head says 3-0 defeat. Heart says 1-1 daylight robbery draw. Hopefully I'm just a pessimist!
  19. We (Bristol City) are all one big happy family. At best, you are the family Mongrel or the the gimp locked away under the stairs.
  20. Or maybe having shaken hands on a move to Oxford with their manager and then letting them down and going back on his word, he could just be a bit embarrassed to play. Stupid gashead Tosser!
  21. In fairness, I think whilst most of us have nothing but contempt for Rovers and their infiriority complex, whilst wondering how "cousins" from the same city can be such degenerate morons and all seem to group together to support a second rate (in every way) football club, I think we all respect the fact that you don't follow Man Utd/Arsenal/Man City etc. At the end of the day, you are simply a less fortunate, 6 fingered, gullible version of ourselves. Good on you!
  22. Not sure if it's available on there. I got it specially requested. Im going to get some made up for sale which will be slightly cheaper than theirs and without the website link etc (or a different website if I decide to make more and set up a webpage..!)
  23. Please like new page to get this and other designs made for sale and share to increase interest. Thanks. Facebook@FootballMugs
