    Unbelievable.

    Terrorism, Isis.

Obviously this is just a cretin without the ability to think about what he is writing. Seriously, in the world we live in, from whichever side of the devide you are, nobody should be using those two words in throw away comments.

    Absolutely appalling.

They really are a stain on the underpants of society.

Funnily enough, I was chatting to someone tonight that knows a few of the 40 in the White Hart on Sunday. Apparently, he saw them in the Spoons in Staple Hill before the match and was invited to go down town with them. He politely declined stayed drinking in Staple Hill.

He then was drinking in Bar 501 afterwards when they came limping into said bar nursing numerous wounds. He asked what happened and was told they got a hiding off some City fans in town.

The best part is there were some of the R*vers youth that were giving it large in town but got on their toes at the first sign of trouble (sound familiar?) who were also in Bar 501. The blokes who got a hiding then started on them for running and it descended into an all out brawl between the Fewers in Staple Hill high street.

Not only did they get a hiding in town, the ones that ran then got one in Staple Hill.

    Utter morons to a man.

  3. It wasn't the most exciting fight I've ever seen but it was definitely interesting.

I thought Parkers jab speed kept AJ from throwing his big right and the ref stopped any attempt at Parker fighting on the inside. That also seemed to stop AJ from getting close enough to land the uppercut if Parker came inside.

Parker is pretty durable but there really wasn't any big shots landed from either boxer.

  4. Very mature performance from GG. Kept Eubank away with the jab and never let Eubank get close to let off any combinations.

I thought Eubank was definitely the more aggressive fighter, but he wasn't landing anything meaningful.

  5. I don't know why the Pathological Liars are worried about their finances and the £10m charge on the Mem.

As far as I know, the charge was taken out before they spruced up the carpets and curtains, installed a handful of sprinklers and added a new canopy to a doorway. Add all that together with a sprinkling of #gaslogic and the Mem is probably worth around £25m now surely?

Erm, aren't they the same place?

I live close to BI, not in it, and there is one staunch gas boozer on the island suggesting the estate is predominantly blue. I would suggest it's one of the few blue areas left but in Barrs, next door, it's virtually ALL red and long may it continue! @Cheesleysmate lives near me so I would assume he agrees?

Kingswood was pretty blue when I was a nipper with one shining 'bastion of red' boozer. While there's still a lot of older blues, I would suggest there are an awful lot more reds in BS15 than there used to be, maybe not parity yet but it's not far off!

Agree about Kingswood SJ. Also, it does seeem to be the older lot that are staunch G*s.

I grew up in and around there and know as many reds as I do 15'ers, if not more.

Anybody see in the national news today that the blue few were one, of a small number of football clubs, that couldn’t muster enough cash to pay their employees the minimum wage (probably the footballing staff to be honest). Times really are hard!!! No wonder they can’t afford a stadium rebuild if they are struggling to scrape together £7.50. Definitely the gift that keeps on giving; they are a professional outfit, yea?!

[someone cleverer than me will be able to link to the bbc news article]

    Here you go.

A number of football clubs were also named on the government's list including Bristol Rovers; Wolves and Torquay in England and Motherwell; Greenock Morton and Falkirk in Scotland.

  8. After seeing Dopeys interview, I think I now know why the poor 15'ers think they are the bestest, most loyal and true fans ever. It's because they keep getting told it by various owners, chairmen and managers of the G*s to try and stop them from looking at the true nature of how utterly f*cked the club are behind the scenes.

It's a massive case of blowing smoke up their arses and hoping they are so happy to (ahem) 'know' they are the best fans ever they cannot believe that their club is (and has been for years) close to going to the wall.

I would say it's painful to watch but it's not, it's f*cking brilliant.

You are playing into the hands of the Teds, who know we are coming up on the outside and they are running so scared they will employ any tactic to try to drag us back

    That is brilliant. :clapping:

They are obviously edging ever nearer to us with their unpaid for fences, training field, championship sprinklers, clean carpets, condemned pasty hut, plastic patio chairs, 'huge' attendances, 'massive' transfer spending, 'billionaire' owner..........

To be fair, that is a lot for us to be scared about. I mean, how on earth are we supposed to compete with all that?

Are the sh!theads in financial trouble ? they most certainly are !

Of course we must be in financial trouble. After all, our record transfer signing ONLY equates to 14.32 Tilsons. Also, our record transfer sell ONLY equates to a little over 40.5 Tilsons.

Don't forget that we ONLY get over double their average attendance as well as make money all year round from our commercial activitiex.

Add this to the fact our owner is a Billionaire that is willing to write off debt  (or turn it into equity) and has paid for a redeveloped stadium out of his own pocket and you can see why HG would think this.

We're doomed I tell you, dooooooommmmeeed.

Don't hold your breath - Mr West is playing a game which will all come plain in due course.
He never wanted us there and his 'mates' are in the wings.
In due course we will all learn how devious they are at UWE

Exactly what is bugging me. If correct who are the mates and what is the UWE masterplan?  The only team that can fill a barn that big around here is Bath Rugby who have made no secret of the limitations of the Rec but would they really leave Bath?

Move the thinking away from one big stadium. How about a 'complex' involving a small stadium for Women's football, and an Indoor Arena that would house Basketball, table tennis and Badminton, and that can also be used as a 'Bristol Arena' for music. Who are the mates? Well, a certain Rosy Cheeked Fecker was given an Honorary Doctorate (or something) for the financial advice he has given to the UWE, plus the UWE have recently started using the conference facilities at trashton. It's just a small step to put 2 and 2 and 2 together and come up with the amount of fingers on my right hand
