  1. I 100% agree. We are a passive bunch. We have no home end, yet we have an away end behind the goal. We play in what is often a library and if people get animated there is always someone to tell you what is and is not acceptable. However the outrage on here over the obvious lies and untruths and the employing of an untested league one manager to replace Pearson was greeted with shock overwhelmingly on here but not at the ground. However our natural passiveness has been put to one side now. We play rubbish football and the untruths of those making horrifying decisions are now coming out . To this extent you have a main player in the saga going on radio to make statements excusing Manning for injuries while justifying squads reflecting a run at the FA Youth Cup, thus forcing the current manager to play Andy King a major factor in Pearson being fired! You can’t make this place up. I can remember the last time we were called a basket case club in the press. Here we are again!
  2. Perfect! Just missed the bits regarding Brian’s input and that junior was the driver and probably the Lansdown to which you refer. But Exactly
  3. You normally talk utter nonsense. However you are spot on there!
  4. Tinman as manager was one of those crap decisions Tinman is Director of Football was another. We all want to be better next season, so they sacked the manager in the most bizarre circumstances out and out lying and Brian was a big part of that. We all want to win the youth cup too, but it seems completely lost that Pearson was having to play those players because he had no one else and one of the last straws was Brian criticizing Pearson for playing Andy King before one of the youth team. Mr Lansdown is releasing funds to Mr Manning but didn’t to Nigel Pearson. What does all of that tell you?
  5. I’m not sure about the term calling out. He said there was no one available at the top of the club and a week or two later he said “if I still have a job” Fact is he told it like it was and it was obvious he was on his way. Saying it was that, that cost him his job is bizarre. The way he saw it that decision was already made. Nevertheless a year or so earlier when he said Jon was entitled to his opinion as Chairman but was wrong is what got under juniors skin!
  6. I thought that, but he was referring to the academy. I guess they make a distinction regarding what ever we had then and it also gave Brian a bit of Kudos before he got reamed.
  7. After a few hours to review my considered thoughts are Brian was told/agreed to go on SOTC. Brian bless him has a lot of attributes, but dealing with marginally tough questions isn’t one of them, particularly as he is implicated in what ever is going on, on a match day Brian was a part of the process to fire Mr Pearson and recommended Mr Manning Brian is the fall guy if everything goes bad. SL noticed the big gaps in the stadium and couldn’t fail but notice the utter shit in front of him and the boos. Some serious conversations are being had with our coaching staff
  8. I do like to be reminded occasionally of my excellent use of the ignore button. But I do wish people would not quote dolts!
  9. And she’s a good human/tea lady.
  10. Heaven knows I need it! However more on topic. Brian has been a great servant. I think I was at his first game (away at Swindon, if not first very close). But this isn’t the first time things have blown up around him! I’m not sure Danny Wilson would be surprised by any of this. The decision to sack Pearson was ultimately Mr Marshall and Mr Lansdown’s decision almost certainly rubber stamped by SL. To what extent that decision was driven by Brian we will never know, but we do know now with some certainty that Brian was a part of the process of bringing Mr Manning in and this awful football we play. As it’s been pointed out season ticket renewals are on the horizon and we are dreadful to watch. Follow the money. I would also be very surprised to think that going on the radio was a decision taken by Brian in isolation. A winning team got booed this weekend! Give Brian my best wishes for the Youth Cup, getting to the final goes someway to saving a season that’s been miserable since October!
  11. It’s a funny one. He obviously didn’t want to heap anymore pressure on Manning. So he just said the first thing that came to mind. To be fair ten points extra now would have us in the chasing Pack with nine or so to go and most of us would take that! The interviewer gave him a good run for his money and made him very uncomfortable. Good. The “Board” would have listened to that! That was Brian taking it in the shorts for junior.
  12. If that figure for Cornick is accurate I would be very surprised. If I remember he was about to be OOC. Or am I wrong?
  13. The lies of October are coming home to roost!
  14. Oh here we go. The defense league cometh!
  15. This was not a bad interview. Easily best post GT BT will be taking a look on here and might not be thrilled, however he had the balls to go on the show and tell us we have an apprentice head coach The utter garbage that was stated around Mr Pearson is now seen to be what it was, garbage, supporters overwhelmingly were genuinely shocked that we could throw it all down the toilet in the manner we did, for this! The message overall was about looking forward…Not suprisingly as its renewal time! I am delighted with the FA Youth Cup semi, but our turgid style and results are effecting attendances and my sense of humor!
  16. Injuries effected Liam….FFS and they didnt Pearson? Everything that was said at that time is now seen to be what it was utter bullshit! Peasrson had 7 U18U21os in the squad at Cardiff….But hey poor old Liam! Agggghhhh!
  17. Some of our performances before Southampton were dreadful too He is learning Here we go…LJ Holden McInnes all over again
  18. I have little faith in Radio Drivel Journo’s. However they were forced recently to get a little more “journalistic” So hopefully I won’t have to listen to the same Radio Bristol reporter/club apologist that I did on Saturday giving his opinion for an age! I get it. If you are too rough you run the risk of not getting stories and cooperation of the club. But guess what you’re not! Don’t let the club use you or our radio station as another unofficial platform, we have that already!
  19. He’s a good human!
  20. I’ll take what I can get. I suspect it’s about trying to placate supporters a little before season ticket sales are announced. Follow the Money! I would love to know when this was arranged!
  21. Brilliant Top ten underperforming squad to inherited a paper thin squad! The way some reinvent the past four months is astonishing!
  22. Is that why TRAVIS is on here. OTIB has a shit loan policy!
  23. I’m a fan and season ticket holder ( I buy two in fact one adult and one junior) that lives overseas. I also have an RTV subscription plus various shirts hats and coats etc. I started the thread because i kept seeing so many disenchanted comments particularly after a win. The issues seem to range Age (I guess that comes to all) Style of Football (Boring) The inability to challenge (We were four points off of sixth) The dismissal of Pearson (Bizarre) The untried coach at this level (Is not a great communicator and has an inability to show empathy with the fans/players…Mood Hoover) EFL Live Coverage (no knowledge of how often games will be on and when. Many can’t get to non Saturday games) Personal antipathy toward the club hierarchy and decision making Confusion with the clubs communication underscored with thir dismissals of club execs, coach’s et al and employment of an inexperienced chief coach and Director of Football An inability to compete anywhere near the top despite assurances around appointments Misgivings around future ownership and the chances of success on the field The feeling of being used as a mere revenue stream Im sure other Im not sure that I agree with all of it, however a thread entitled Season Tickets will catch someone’s eye and now they have most of the issues in one place.
  24. Young Oxo. Fantastic. Thanks fella! You read your own posts I guess Tim? I am ok. Thanks for asking. I hope you are well too? However. The game was awful as we were largely. The three points are welcome of course and takes the pressure off and I think that there is a deep exhale. Six points before we go to Stoke would be good Passive aggressive I’ll brush over that. Did you not play for Bath City? Or am I imagining that? I know a few people that have been there over the years? That bloody pitch! Sigh.
