Paul Wotton appointed as Torquay manager today I see, leaving from Truro City

What about Walton from Ipswich he’s always looked the part, granted he’s been injured but he’s fit now

I say this every time it comes up, but that is the best name for a goalkeeper ever. It’s on a par with the old Dutch player Mark De Mann who played in defence.
Worth signing for that alone.
There have been some great goalkeeper names over the years - Perry Digweed and Les Fridge spring to mind
-
We need to avoid another Steve Phillips debacle where he had no challenger of note to his place, which leads to complacency and loss of standards in the long run.

A club at this level should not be wearing guff like O'Neill's - a lot of the lower league Scottish sides seem to wear it and that's where it belongs. It comes to something when the days of Bristol Sport branded kit is now seen as halcyon.
No messing about, Umbro branded red/white/red for home, white/black/black away and purple/lime/white third job done- 5

Does the position really matter? Different teams will place more importance on different positions as to have valuable they believe they are, in theory Sheffield Utd could see a GK as one of their most important positions on the pitch and are therefore willing to pay it, would there be the same commotion if it were a CM or winger?
They certainly need a new one, Foderingham has been hopeless this season (as was his replacement Grbić)

"play-off games are typically cagey affairs"
Then Crawley proceed to win 8-1 on aggregate -

I know we’ve got our ‘Champagne Moment’ of the season but I was wondering what their MD20/20 moment of the season was?
1) Forgetting to fax the paperwork off when trying to sign JCH
2) 75 fans to Fleetwood
3) losing 5-0 to Lincoln
4) Their ‘Daddy’ getting sacked and replaced by Arnold Rimmer
5) Their club suggesting disabled fans are abnormal
6) Breaking their own record for consecutive games without a goal after selling their best player for £4 million less than they said he was worth.
7) Having their attendances beaten by our Women’s team
I may have missed out many others.
Personally I think the whole JCH **** up takes some beating.
8. Fans booking hotels for their trip to Anfield, then getting dicked by Norwich

Impressive.
…. got me wondering who the last Dutch player to play for City. I recall Geert Meijer in 1980. I doubt he was the last. I don’t recall the last Dutch side to visit Ashton Gate
Sieb Dykstra another one

Anyone else devastated at MK getting dicked?
No me neither

MK Dons 0-1 Crawley - more idiocy playing out from the back, why do teams persist with it
-
Delighted they are out of the brown stuff - hopefully they will get back to the Football League in a few years time

September 2005 according to my profile, I didn't post much for years but have grown more confident in doing so in the last couple

I can't see any issue with this not being passed, I've seen the TV screen they are using it won't affect the local residents too much

The police should have tasered the lot of them on the maximum setting - idiotic behaviour

I'm watching Airdrieonians v Partick Thistle play-off on the BBC website - an entertaining watch at 2-2 presently

Has there ever been a poorer quality World Championship final? Both players are playing poorly, but some of the shots Jones is missing are unbelievable. How on earth did this guy beat Trump and Bingham? All Wilson has to is wait for Jones to make yet another elementary mistake and clean up, but even that isn’t straightforward given how poorly Wilson is playing himself.
And with that, Jones misses another simple one in the 29th frame…
I saw better quality than this in The Paragon back in the day - that misjudgement by Wilson to hit the pink was amateur in the least
-
Jones has clawed back to 11-8 down now - probably left himself too many frames to claw back but the score is more respectable than it was

I'm all for Bristol Rovers playing all their matches as far away from Bristol as possible, preferably Outer Mongolia or somewhere similar
