  1. Yeah of course it is, maths isn't my best suit we don't play all our matches at home (thank God!)
  2. What's the League record for most home games without winning, there can't be many more than 16 surely, only half a dozen away from half a season's worth
  3. Looks like one of Elton John's old suits (congrats at being No. 1 this week by the way Elt....)
  4. Pulling the plug out also makes the water decrease, I think he’s onto something
  5. I think it would be obscene to have access to that much money in one fell swoop - I agree with @Super's idea that you get so much a month or a regular basis. I wouldn't even entertain going public with my winning ticket either (obviously people you know would get to know about it, but can you imagine the begging letters, etc. one would get every day (not that I'm averse to donating money to worthy causes, however I'd rather do that off my own back). I did read somewhere once they give you counselling or something to prepare you for your windfall, but how could anyone possibly prepare for that?!! Once I'd bought a decent house, sorted out the family / close friends and got a couple of nice cars that would be all I would need really. There is such a thing as too much isn't there?
  6. I find it highly amusing their fans seem to think now they've got all this money all the top players will suddenly want to sign - I know money talks but these players are likely to have their pick of the top clubs in the Premier League and they are more likely to win something at say a Liverpool or Man City. They will end up with the ones those clubs don't want, or has-beens after a last pay day.
  7. I'd just about forgotten Gerry Harrison!
  8. Tanning salons in the Southend populous are in mourning at his departure
  9. Jesus wept he is most unwell mentally - what a load of rambling nonsense he has to be pissed
  10. Can you imagine the furore on here if we had a keeper that short, Fielding is 5' 11" and slated as being too short. I read up on Steve Death and he's regarded as one of Reading's finest goalkeepers
  11. Talking of Steve Death, in the very same Reading squad was one Wayne Wanklyn.....
  12. So this bloke actually works in S H I T and not I T then?
  13. GasChat is absolutely glorious this evening, this is what life is all about
  14. They must have relaxed the rules somewhat this year, as that's one of several occasions (away at QPR and Reading also) where both teams wore white shorts, where in years gone by red were worn. On a similar note, did anybody watch West Brom v QPR on Friday? On certain angles it was a bit jarring (to my eyes at least)
  15. Not sure if my memory is playing up, but does anyone else remember a last day match at AG vs Brentford, circa early 90s? City won 4-1 (I think!), a result that sent Brentford down, and I recall the Dolman serenading a rather portly gentleman in the open end with the song 'he's fat, he's round, his team are going down, baldy, baldy...' as he was getting rather irate in said area. Sure I didn't imagine this?!
  16. Went out to the car this morning to find the filler cap open and feared the worst but no petrol was nicked
