  1. I have a long term business acquaintance who is a Cardiff season ticket holder and we always have good sensible banter.

I saw him on Wednesday and he seemed genuinely surprised by my thoughts on Tomlin and reckoned he had a marvellous game the previous evening.

I noted he was subbed in the second half but assume that was to conserve his energy for today's game .

The point is we cannot be worried about who we face. If our aim is promotion we have to be able to beat whoever is in front of us and I have more faith in this squad than I have had for a long time.

Well at last they've taken a lead over us! Next Tuesday Rovers are holding a free pie tasting event with the sole purpose of improving the club's pies on match days. Come on Bristol Sport get a grip.  We can't be left behind in the pie world

Aren't their pies just trying to catch up with ours as well..?!

  4. Not sure this has been mentioned but Sad Lad who posted the classic Dad and Son video after the takeover has got his Fulham effort on Youtube:

Worth watching just for the coach which he films with about 2 others on there. Made me think of the open top bus grand tour :rofl2br:

They weren't taking many up as Fulham never let them have many tickets -Priceless!

Forgot to say Twentypence introduces it in a nice bit of Radio Bristol neutrality.

Those idiots probably still believe that a man walked on the moon..!

You know, the one (followed by a few others) filmed in a dessert nearly 50 years ago, yet despite untold progress in technology, nobody has managed since 1972..!

They've lost the bowl they put the dessert in. ;)

What I heard was that Wally Al Qaeda doesn't want to rent the land the stadium is built on and so wants to buy the land for £2m (the alleged value, but this is likely using #GasLogic) and the UWE are asking £10m, which the slags are refusing to pay.

I would half expect this "withdraw" to be part of the bargaining process to rob someone else of their land for a fraction of its worth.  It's not like they haven't got form for this already, is it?!?

I thought I had read, goodness knows how many pages ago,  that UWE were not allowed to sell the land under the deal they signed with Hewlett Packard when they acquired the  site.

  7. More delusion from their forum ...................

Topic -  Liverpool to wear Gas Shirts

    Quote

Liverpool copy Gas Shirts for new season

Except that the report quoted states "Liverpool's away kit is based upon the first strip the club wore in 1892" and Rovers wore quarters from 1931/32

So Liverpool are "copying" something they did 40 years before Rovers. :rofl2br::rofl2br::rofl2br:

Well it is the biggest without a Premiership team and far larger than some of those that do.

Also if you look at the catchment area, when we were in the old first division, we would get good numbers attending from all across Somerset alone.

Nope - Bradford is a bigger population and not in the Premiership.

No but the diggers who are on their board have dug themselves a pretty impressive pit now. It`s debatable whether they can actually climb out of it -  although, knowing Rovers, there will be an escape tunnel somewhere for the directors to leg it down with whatever cash is left when the shoddily built supporting structure collapses in on itself as usual.

Unlike the famous contract I suspect the escape tunnel really will be watertight - and it's filling fast.:argh:

Can some one with more time & effort on their hands please remind me of the Official Bristol Rovers Brexit statement?

i think we really missed a trick not releasing one ourselves.

As you will be aware, the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union in yesterday's referendum.

The ramifications of this decision are going to be significant and will impact, both positively and negatively, on every single industry in the UK, including football!

At this stage it is too early to draw any specific conclusions about what it will mean for Clubs such as Bristol Rovers FC and the competitions we enter, other than the withdrawal process is unlikely to be very quick.

Once the UK invokes Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, it will begin a two-year process of negotiating to leave, although it could take even longer.

We will endeavour to keep all our supporters informed, on a periodic basis, of the consequences for football and an exit from the EU.

******* hell, how many more inane, pointless posts are you going to make on another club's forum?

I wish he would post on another club's forum.  One of the Rover's ones would be a start!
