Alex Scott - £25m to Bournemouth- Confirmed
KnowleUtd City replied to SinéadB's topic in All Things Ex Players and Managers
I’m with you Jose, as much as Kalas clearly isn’t joining, the wage we offered him will still be available to use for someone else, and if Scott leaves, his wage will be added to the mix as well. Nigel is being coy as you’d expect, I’m pretty confident if the right centre back becomes available we’ll make a move. Fingers crossed anyway. -
Good news, thanks East Londoner, planning on a couple of beers around Euston before heading up to Watford Junction.
-
Would mean not missing a single away game in something like 40 years! ... Poor sod.
-
Bizarrely I've got the same feeling about this game as I did for the first leg against Forest in 88 when we went up there. Gonna get absolutely peppered, and every minute we can hold out will be an achievement. Let's pray that someone can be our Paul Mardon on the one occasion we venture in to their half ? COYR!

Sorry Dave, you've probably answered this plenty of times, but when is 'Matchweek 32' ie the date when the 10 card threshold is passed?
-
Site is still showing at least 500 available around the ground, so anyone who's been on since 10am will surely be sorted.

Norwich City at home match thread
KnowleUtd City replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Thanks Jerseybean, It has the makings of a cracker, Sargeant & Pukki will be tricky for us to keep under control, lets hope we are smiling at 5pm! COYR -
not won at Preston in twelve years
KnowleUtd City replied to Never to the dark side's topic in Football Chat
The White Harte is about 15 minute walk, was last in there during the Cotts promotion season, it's decent enough, they'll have the lunchtime game on in there I expect. Shame The Sumners has been demolished as it was a fair bit closer. -

McCarthy equalised, ran towards our terrace celebrating, attempted a somersault and put his back out, had to be subbed haha. Shame about the result, but a great weekend on the lash in Blackpool. -
Stoke at home is probably the most winnable tie that we could have confirmed this evening for me. Burnley/Ipswich away is probably the worst tie possible in my opinion.

Good opportunity for all the young lads to get in E34 v WBA. The whole block is available cheap, and WBA are gonna fill the whole Atyeo so should make for a good old FA Cup atmosphere!

Southampton academy/ louis Carey involvement
KnowleUtd City replied to Will Rollason's topic in Football Chat
I've met Louis a number of times down the years, including playing 45 mins with him in a charity game for our mate in the summer of 2021 at Parson Street, he's always been absolutely sound as a pound! -
Leeds and Man United sing those songs when they are winning games to be ironic. I get self-deprecation, but calling ourselves F******* W******* seems embarrassing to me. I stood on the East End from 1985 and I can't ever remember us singing that, just heard Millwall singing it at us mainly. Most of the songs I hear our lot sing now make me cringe, but each to their own I guess.
-
I can't understand why our lot would sing a song calling ourselves a 'F****** W***** at the end, truly bizarre. Maybe I'm missing something.

Player transfer out that effected you the most?
KnowleUtd City replied to Major Isewater's topic in Football Chat
In recent times, losing Brownhill & Pack after they'd played in a central midfield 2 for the whole of the 18/19 season and we missed out on 6th by one point, really felt like a backward step, and we haven't been as good since. Two players that were hopelessly underrated by a section of our fanbase while they were at the club. -
Hands up, who is heading to Millwall then?
KnowleUtd City replied to Never to the dark side's topic in Football Chat
11 of us on the train, lose or lose on the booze! COYR! -
Beanie & Scooter would have been out in Milan by now, Scooter sorting all the lads out with with where to drink, and where to stay etc, and Beanie making everyone laugh all weekend! ... Two fantastic characters gone, but never forgotten.

Terribly sad news, Beanie was unique, one of a kind, and will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace mate. Frank x

Any excuse, bottlers!
