If over the next two or three matches we all have to admit we are in a relegation battle. Then my ansew is simple, if Nigel was in charge and he said we will be ok,. I would relax and trust in him. If Liam said the same thing i would be very worried.

I moved to Southampton from Bristol in 1976, so have many, many Southampton fans as friends. They are waiting to give me some stick on Wednesday morning. So please City give me a win, so i an go around Southampton on Wednesday with my City bobble hat and a big smile. The games between to two of us i remember well was the the FA cup 4th round at Ashton Gate 1967,38,017, when we won 1-0 Terry Bush. Which gave us that famous 5th round tie at Tottenham we lost 2-0.The year before 1966 the both of us were pushing for promotion .We played them at home on Good Friday and lost 0-1. I went down to Southampton on Easter Monday and we were winning 1-2, Ford (pen) and Gerry Sharpe. With minutes to go Terry Paine made it 2-2 and that was our dreams finished. I remember getting Alf Ramsey autograph after the match. Alf was a ex Southampton and of course made his name worldwide a few months latter. A few years ago Southampton had no lost a home fixture for the whole calander year, and would make history if the did not lose to us at St Marys a couple of days before new year, and guess what we won, and i remind my Southampton friends that story from time to time. So with them on this unbeaton run. I would really, really love it if we won tomorrow night. COYRs. -

What a bloke, wish him all the best. -
At the moment the top six are, and how we got on. 1. Leicester City h ? a 0-1 2. Southampton h ? a 0-1 3 Leeds United h 0-1 a 1-2 4. Ipswich h 0-1 a ? 5. WBA h 0-0 a ? 6. Hull City h 3-2 a 1-1 So 8 matches played, did not score in 5 of them. 5 out of 24 points gained 5 matches lost by the odd goal. So you can see that we are not a top 6 team, but very close. We all know we need to score more goals. One more goal scored in each of these matches equals 9 extra points, and of course all those top six teams would have lost points. So close but so far away.

Max has made some great saves over the season. As somebody has said well thats he job thats what he is payed for. He has also cost us some points, it happens. Nigel dropped Bentley and gave Max his chance. I feel Max needs to be droped and Sefan given a run of games. then by the end of the season we could say we have two very good goalkeppers or we move them both on. Then spend some big money getting in the best goalkepper we can afford. I remember Brian Clough saying Peter Shilton gave Forest 20 points a season. All good sides are built from the back, so lets start with number 1.

Time for a change of goalkeeper. If he was a outfield player he would be droped. -

What became of David Noake? I saw the name Noakes and i sudenly remeber him. I think he had blonde hair. We signed him from Luton Town in 1961 and he left us a year latter for Trowbridge, after making 13 apperances for us.

Millwall at home match thread
Roadrunner replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Number 15 on the Millwall bench Joe Bryan. Hope he gets a good welcome if he comes on. But hope its not him with a last minute winner. I will go with a very tight 1-0 to us.
