  1. Top 4 in each group through to QFs, 1st and 2nd in each group at home to 4th and 3rd in the opposite one. Then a draw to see who plays who on finals day.
  2. He'll take up the role of managing the Select Group 2 (i.e. Championship level) referees. Word of advice Kev, see to it that we don't get Andy Davies anytime soon yeah? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2022/06/21/exclusive-premier-league-facing-shortfall-experienced-referees/ Elsewhere, Tom Bramall has been promoted to the PL list. Looking at the stats last season he did our home games with Barnsley and Brum, and the away win at Derby. And Bobby Madley, ex-PL ref who resigned in dubious circumstances, has been promoted back to our level.
  3. Can only echo what's been said, have to give him credit for wanting to go and play regularly and being willing to drop down a level to do so, and whilst the club obviously wanted to keep him, I think they will fully understand and respect his decision. He's got himself the security of a 3 year deal and a real chance to kick on and establish himself at a good club at that level, with the aim of getting back up the pyramid one way or another. Good luck to him.
  4. Certainly nowhere near as many as who wanted DaSilva and Kalas permanently, or Tomlin a few years prior to that.
  5. And would probably also suggest that we will try and get another CB now Cundy isn't staying.
  6. Think there could be quite a few on the move around the country before next season. Yorkshire have already announced that Willey is going back to Northants and they might lose others for financial/cultural reset reasons. Warks are being linked with Moeen, plus Mahmood from us.
  7. That's a great signing, adds to an already explosive lineup. Wonder if it means someone's moving on?
  8. Spot on, and I bet if you asked Pearson this would probably be his view too.
  9. I'm seeing him in a couple of weeks, very funny man.
  10. They're in a similar position to where we were last summer, a load out of contract with a new manager wanting to change the culture whilst having to reduce costs.
  11. I suspect if someone did come in with a reasonable permanent offer for O'Leary, the club wouldn't stand in his way.
  12. Gregor has retweeted it, if that means anything.
  13. Was just about to say I'd heard it here, I think it might have been LJ rather than him though.
  14. I don't think I've ever seen it referred to as that, which shows how much impact it's having.
  15. Purely coincidentally, the Manchester and North London derbies are on the same week, though the way the pick system works means that Sky will likely only show one, with BT getting the other.
  16. Jamie is a bit quicker than anyone else who's fit at the moment, isn't he?
  17. That plus they always seem to put them on weeks when there are European games, so the games don't tend to involve the bigger teams. If you look at what Sky have picked in that slot over the last few years, it seems to be a revolving cycle of Brighton, Palace, Burnley, Wolves etc.
  18. I assume the only expectation of him is to be back for the start of preseason like everyone else.
