What's happened to the Great Alfonso? Once one of the finest T20 bowlers around, now whenever I see him on TV or look at his figures he's getting smashed all over the park. Purely down to getting old, or something more than that?

The Red Rose march to the Div 2 title continues. We'll probably go straight back down again next year like, but nice to see all the same. If anything our batting lineup this year is stronger than in Div 1 last year, getting Petersen was a good bit of work. We've got a quick bowler from Zimbabwe called Kyle Jarvis, arrived last year and struggled to even make the 2nds. This term he has 57 FC wickets by the middle of June. He can spray it a bit, and regularly goes at 4 an over, but is bloody rapid.

We need to get into the mindset of players being able to float up and down the batting order depending on the situation. Too often with England they'll slot a player in somewhere in the order and he'll stay there, regardless of what score he comes in at. Buttler came in at 5 for Lancs last night which was ideal for him in the context of the game, however if he'd come in maybe 3 overs later, he wouldn't have had the time to get set. Incidentally, given the recent talk of a franchise T20 tournament, the Roses match last night was a pointer to what it'd be like. 2 teams based in big cities and fierce rivals, playing in a Test venue which was full with a cracking atmosphere, with a good sprinkling of current England players, some on the fringes and a couple of big name internationals.

Just on the way home now. Cracking game, Preston probably shaded the 1st half but we were excellent after half time and their goal came against the run of play. Could, maybe should have won it but would have taken a point beforehand. Great atmosphere from both sets of fans, the Flint song is a surefire winner. Nearly there!

Frustrating game. We didn't play that well but having worked hard to get the lead, to then concede such a soft goal was very disappointing. If we'd seen out that few minutes after scoring we'd have won comfortably. JET has to start ahead of Agard. I fear for the sanity of a few bedwetters on here if we lose to Swindon.

You're a shambles

It's been disjointed and we've given the ball away too much. Agard has barely been in it. Despite that we've still created the better chances. The miserable old ****t sat in front of me has moaned about literally everything.

Meh, as long as we do our job it matters not a jot what Swindon do.

Jet to be the matchwinner. Or alternatively, to be totally ineffective and raise questions as to why Agard didn't start.
