No question its been an enjoyable season for all the reasons mentioned above. Think we are developing into a side that can counter quickly against teams that are open and in Anis may have the player to unlock teams that come for a point.

Liverpool bought Fabio Carvalho last summer, he hasn't really set the place alight or is playing regular Premier League football. To be honest I would be surprised if we see Alex in a City shirt again unless it is a cameo in the last home game. Why risk injuring a major asset in the last few meaningless games? Also I don't see him coming back on loan either. Nige doesn't like loan players,
I think he'd make an exception.....

Key point for me is we did that with all players being our own. No loanees. Looked a very decent performance and bodes well for next season. Surely Andy King must get a new contract.....

he said cramp to the bench as soon as he came off so hopefully his diagnosis was correct.

Message from a Sunderland fan who is a mate who was at the game.
"Apart from Burnley second half, you’re probably the best team we’ve had here this season."

well worth a watch seems a very well grounded young man

perhaps Kalas comes into the equation and Naismith moves into midfield with Scott playing further forward?

nothing to do with expectations Vyner was excellent today, as were several others. Some very solid defending, several crucial interventions and some really good passes forward

odd really when the club is engaging actively with fans - would love to know what controllable change is wanted because from my perspective the club does an awful lot very well.

Norwich, 5th in the league sack there manager.
Meanwhile here at Bristol City, Nigel Pearson with a 26% win rate, can't win at home, can't play players in their correct positions, seems to be unsackable.
Norwich with benefit of huge parachute monies in a slightly different situation to ours with FFP issues I would suggest

Ole - a really good post. I think we are making mistakes when on top in games that are proving very costly. Against Stoke we could have been 2 up at half time and probably should have been - yesterday we could easily have been level. Chances are being created and some good football is being played. Scott looks a little jaded to me and could not seem to hold the ball yesterday. Hopefully NP has plans for the January window which will prove successful!

chorus of one Scotty Murray on 7 minutes on Saturday perhaps?????

think he could probably do with a break and a rest. Has been excellent but does not seem to have quite the same spark currently. Set piece delivery also not as good as he can be.

anyone have a spare ticket for tomorrow please.....somehow missed the opportunity to buy before they sold out and don't fancy sitting on my hands while watching!

OLeary
Kalas Klose Pring
Scott Dasilva
Williams HNM
Weimann
Seymenyo Wells
Think after recent good performance out of position Jay deserves a chance on the left, while Nakhi with a point to prove should provide energy and movement.

A good read - lets hope Wednesday gives us further cause for optimism...

For anyone who may wish to buy one of these I will be selling them in the concourse before the Reading match on Wednesday - high quality signed prints at 30 pounds each with 10 of that going to the Robins Foundation. Cheers Andy

Naive at the end - but overall what a thoroughly enjoyable performance. Lessons learned from today will put us in good stead for next year. Keep HNM, Antoine Scott Pring with a fit Joe Williams and who knows where we could be next season. Building very nicely.

for you perhaps - but for others not so - bottom line is really positive performance from a group of committed players. A good start to 2022

very positive performance and looking like we are working out a way of playing that suits a number of the younger players, which can't be a bad thing. Should have won with COD's chance the clearest .
Team for next week will be interesting ....

Dunne was booked in the 22nd minute, fouled Semenyo in the 2nd half when he turned and beat him and was heading to the penalty area. No different to Andy King's foul. Should have been 2nd yellow and off. Penalty could not be clearer.

still have some of these available. Am sure they'd make a good Xmas present for someone. DM me for details and lets hope we see a few goal celebrations from the reds on Wednesday.

thought he was excellent - worked really hard and created opportunity. Room to improve but he has a very bright future.
