  1. Yep, I’m just waiting for a certain poster to come along who says we “don’t need” Weimann any more..
  2. All the back four were brilliant today, Tanner’s best game for us, Pring is just getting better & better, Atkinson was a man mountain & Vyner imperious. Without getting carried away it is looking really good back there.
  3. Posted something similar to the OP in the Kane Wilson thread last week. Sykes is pretty much the archetype of our new transfer model, good age, low wages, versatile & having watched him closely today, incredibly fit. He’s in a great run of scoring at present & is taking the pressure off of our main strikers as a result. Delighted for him, looking a great piece of business.
  4. Just proves how shit he was then, the ref gave virtually every decision to Norwich, so what was he waiting for? Shite.
  5. Thought he had a very good game, positive at claiming the ball & when to choose to punch. His kicking did get worse as the game progressed & two particularly poor ones weren’t when he was really under pressure, but I’d take a keeper who looks secure but is struggling with his kicking over the reverse, any day.
  6. Abysmal, desperate to give them every decision he could. Linesman in front of the Lansdown was even worse, missed 2 clear fouls right in front of him, one when Hanley had his hands around Cornick’s neck. ******* clueless.
  7. Absolutely. Completely mad to even be thinking about the playoffs, in my opinion. We have a squad of barely 20 players & at Xmas some on here wanted the manager sacked, predicted relegation & said Rovers were catching us..
  8. Four of the bottom five play each other, so Blackpool v Rotherham & Wigan v Huddersfield, Cardiff are home to Middlesbrough. Even a point today could see us pull away from the bottom three.
  9. Carry on Camping, the first 25 years..
  10. Losing Alex Palmer through injury is costing them big time. I didn’t think he was great against us but he’s been awful this evening.
  11. Because they hate us.
  12. Sam Frost is by some distance the most sycophantic reporter I have ever read in a Bristol paper. Either he’s scared of upsetting him (can’t think why) or he is as relentlessly biased as someone in North Korea or Russia. An embarrassment.
  13. Fair play to you for being able to do so, absolutely clueless, the pair of them. The bar could not be set any lower than having him on, he’s worse than Ian Gay. Wilkins actually said on Twitter he wouldn’t miss Richard Gould because he couldn’t think of anything he had done in his time here. ******* idiot.
  14. Totally. His goal scoring record for us was beyond abysmal (his only goal basically hit him in the face & went in) but as a partner for Brooker, he was hard working, physical & awkward to play against. Always remember a mate saying he went to Gillingham around this time & him & Brooker absolutely battered their centre halves all first half in one of the most physical displays he had ever seen & we came in 1-0 up. Second half Basso went off injured & Steve Phillips came on as a sub & let a shot straight through his body for the equaliser & never played for us again.
  15. In contrast to Nathan Jones who is the definition of obnoxious (& for a “Christian” uses the C word with moronic regularity on the touch line), Mick is great, isn’t he? Funny, honest, down to earth. Always remember a game he lost against us when at Ipswich & he was asked why they had been beaten, his answer was “because we were crap”, no excuses or hiding behind anything. Think his time has gone but would have loved to see him here post GJ.
  16. Incompetence, also interesting to reflect on the booking count in the game: 4 for us, 1 (incredibly neither Evans or Cunningham were even booked) for them.
  17. Fair points but it is also fair to say the first two questioners (Hoskin & Forrester) good, last two (Jones, who is consistently terrible & AN Other) really very poor. However nervous or inexperienced you are (& we’ve suffered listening to Jordan Jones for at least a year now) there’s no excuse for this. FWIW I asked Nige a question when he, Tinnion & Gould did the Q&A at the Hen & Chicken not that long ago, so do appreciate what you’re saying but gave my question a lot of thought & also listened intently prior to make sure no one had already asked it..
  18. Whether you liked LJ or not, this is such a ridiculous thing to say & blatantly a lie. Diony arrived in January’18, he started just one game for us & by March LJ wasn’t even including him in his match day squad. There is absolutely nothing to back up what you say, I’m by no means his biggest fan but this was so obviously a Mark Ashton inspired signing that LJ rightly gave a swerve to once he’d had a good look at him.
  19. Have you ever noticed who polices those games? Loads of Heddlu in BS3 for them presumably they love the overtime? Or (as usual) are far more generously funded than we are.
  20. Be really interested to know how many English City fans are employed in Wales to ask questions about Cardiff. Reckon it just might be zero.
  21. Plus no way does it get filmed, either. I struggle to know why there are so many “journalists” at these things anyway, 2 seems sufficient.
  22. He actually answered question 6 re Cornick anyway. I thought the first two who asked questions (presumably Richard Hoskin of Radio Bristol & the bloke Forrester from the Post) were fine & as a result got answers that matched their questions.
  23. Jordan Jones strikes again, stick to Cardiff, you utter embarrassment. Mind you, the bloke after him was no better, who starts with a question about our historical record against Norwich? Pearson has managed us once against them, what exactly is he supposed to say in reply?
  24. Much, much closer to home, too.
  25. Williams will come in, King back on the bench.
