Manning just came out and said they were looking to carry out an investigation into it didnt he? For the whole club, not just for one player, he’s obviously mindless too compared to your all encompassing knowledge of everything.

You implied above that the club were doing something wrong in his case.

Ayman’s ACLs both occurred during the Rennie era, a bloke whose medical experience stands up to scrutiny compared to anyone in the game.

Since he left the club has understandably been incredibly cautious with Ayman, as I said he’s played half of 2 games but cannot stay fit.

Really interested in what you think we should have done differently in his case.

The review is understandable in light of Atkinson & to an extent Naismith, I don’t see the connection with Ayman at all.

Arrghh, what a nightmare, whatever we are doing, its ruining him.

Really easy to say mindless stuff this.

He has played 45 minutes twice for the 21s now with a lengthy gap between games.

What exactly we are supposed to do when 2 ACLs has meant that after all this time he appears unable to play more than half a game without doing his hamstring, I have no idea. Do you?

Terrible for him but sometimes it makes absolutely no difference what plan you have if a player has an injury he cannot overcome.

  3. Now been officially confirmed what a few of us knew, Benarous picked up another hamstring injury in his second 21s appearance & his season is over.

Do fear the worst for him, his two 45 minute appearances were spread out over a fortnight & he still can’t stay fit.

Has another year on his deal but certainly can’t be someone Manning can factor in as being available in 24/25.

It wasn’t so long ago that he had a chat with Pat Lam telling him to go back to playing in the Bears way  and Lam did - I don’t think that the Bears have lost since.

Should have taken the head coach role himself then.

Probably not in reality, seeing his in depth knowledge of the football industry is the major reason we have flatlined under him for 20+ years despite spending £200m.

”Trust me on Tinnion”, the ludicrous appointment of Dean Holden, FFS.

Just sell up & spend even more time In Guernsey.

Blimey I shudder in some of the decisions made in those few years, I can recall Dennis smith coming back with Oxford, a few years down the line, and he said, if I was still manager you would be knocking on the door of the prem by now!

Don’t know what he was basing that on?

Signing Atteveld? Brian Mitchell? Swapping Andy May for the donkey that was Dave Thompson?

    Bloke was poor.

Always fear the promoted teams. Sure they’ll be tricky next season. I wonder what level Pack is playing at now, League 1 TOTS but at 33 Knight will be giving him a right run around!

Sheffield Wednesday & Plymouth this year are scrapping to stay up & one of them is very likely to return to league one.

  7. It wasn’t dubious.

I do wonder though whether Nige (who I liked a lot) was someone many referees took against, as the number of clear cut ones we were denied in his time in charge was incredible.

Will you have a better view of the ref’s performance from your new seat / be in shouting range for the ref to hear your critique? 😉

    Unlikely!

My view (moving from Dolman to Lansdown) is slightly less central & a little bit lower down.

I’m moving with 4 others, who are used to my rants, but I’ll be interested to see how others react..

Only guessing as I obviously didn't complete the purchase .
I think the previously unsold seats might be the ones available.

Yep- I renewed last week & also changed stand.

I didn’t wait for the swap your seat date, I simply bought a seat that didn’t have a ST holder in it this season.

C'mon Graham you should know better than that, the correct spelling of course being "Drink up thy Zider"

Looking forward to seeing them Saturday as this weird season finally comes to an end.

Although it says “thy” it is very clearly sung as “thee”, isn’t it?

Met him on train coming back from London, back when he played for us. I was plastered, he was with his girlfriend so I naturally assumed he'd want a chat.  He was really nice, friendly & didn't once mention the fact I was a drunken nause.

Massive part of our success back then, part of me thinks we beat Hull in the final if he wasn't unwell.

Think Flint’s incredible time with us has somewhat obscured his predecessor, who as you say played a huge part in memorable consecutive seasons.

Used to see him a lot around Princess Victoria St In Clifton, though to be fair at 6ft 5 he wasn’t exactly hard to spot.

Spotted Mark Shail before the game as well. Not sure of there was a reason he was there too?

Story on social media he was inducted yesterday into the corporate hospitality stuff done by the likes of Merrick, Ritchie & Sweeney.

A very good point from the Huddersfield forum was that there was only 5 minutes added onto the whole of the 45 minutes of the second half yet also 5 minutes added onto to extra time 5 minutes!

    Not really.

Their centre back was down for about 90 seconds having been hit by the ball, no way would he have been if they were 1-0 down.

They then made a time wasting sub 2 minutes later, Sorba Thomas took forever to get off the pitch.

We had therefore only played about 4 minutes when the penalty was awarded, which then took another 90 seconds to resolve.

I don’t think we’d be so slow to transition with Naismith in a deeper midfield position but I fear that isn’t in LM’s master planning

Probably because he struggles to be available 25% of the time.

How on earth do you plan a formation based in any way on a bloke who managed to start 9 league games this season & 23 last?

    100% this.

Williams was hobbling around a bit and signalled across to the bench meaning a rethink on who Mehmeti was coming on for. Not ideal making two subs four minutes apart - maybe one option was to keep Conway on too until the Williams situation was sorted.

As it was, I think City looked better when Knight dropped back a bit and Mehmeti replaced him further up.

That’s fair but we still had the likes of TGH, King & Cornick on the bench.

I also thought if Bajic was going to replace Max it could have been as part of a double sub with either of the first two changes.

Seemed obvious we didn’t want to bring him on unless we absolutely had to.

The cynic in me suggests they are starting to plan for life without him early, so are phasing his minutes out.

Yep, plus to be fair Nahki got the only goal at Plymouth, notched again in midweek & as we have gone from penalty famine to feast, he’s a decent option there, so doesn’t weaken us.

I would imagine Lewis Thomas wants to play a few games. You can’t go seasons without playing even as a Nr 3 keeper…….albeit he was on their bench yesterday.

Has been for the last 3?
