  1. That'll be the gaffer's honeymoon period over rather quickly then.
  2. When did wes burns turn into a premier league class right winger?!
  3. Poor old Lee J is having his career take on a similar trajectory to his old man.
  4. Might be in the minority here, and probably wouldn't agree if City were in the Prem/subject to VAR, but I love the extra drama and controversy it brings. It's the entertainment business after all. As someone above alluded to, the managers only tend to chirps, as per, when the decisions go against them. A tale as old as time, whether the decisions are being made by man or machine...
  5. Love the idea of a tottering up offence
  6. I guess Brighton count for about three, in living memory, straight off the bat, as do the Gas themselves! Apparently Gloucester City have had the most (14) grounds, the mind boggles.
  7. Manning already doing a Cotts/Nige and signalling to the ownership that he hasn't had enough backing in the transfer market
  8. Sounds like it's got to the point where it'll be to everyone's mutual benefit for a new owner to be installed sooner rather than later.
  9. Who do you support Wednesday to Friday?
  10. It's quite hard to disagree with much of that
  11. I've learnt that when someone says this on OTIB we tend to win the game.
  12. Where did the audio go for the final bit, was expecting to hear the big brother thing with the birdsong over the top when they say something the powers that be don't want you to hear
  13. Word must have got round about us in the footballing world!!!
  14. I do miss old Geoff dot two zero man!!!
  15. Having watched a fair amount of Cov, the triad of Hamer - O'Hare - Gyokeres ran the show a lot of the the time for them, and unsurprisingly so, I guess. They coped admirably well without one of the three when injured/out of form etc, but the replacements they have, whilst being expensive have not necessarily been of the requisite quality to replace what was lost (albeit O'Hare is on the way back now from his knee). So yes, a failure in recruitment from Robins/Cov, and with McFadzean not getting any younger, and other perfectly serviceable but not stellar Championship players such as Godden & Jay, dare I say Kasey as well, I can't see Cov hitting the heights of last season, or anywhere near. Really interesting what they said on Sky on Monday night, about the 1 standing/coaching in the technical area, having disproportionately hit Cov. Viveash is a massive 'character' and a real bawler, and it seems to have neutered Cov/Robins with him being forced to take a back seat, quite literally. So, all in all, would I be excited about Robins heading here...I wouldn't be devastated, but it seems like a side-ways move, and just got that nagging feeling that we should have just kept Nige, for all the expense/time/resource involved in the 'great reset' which really might not be that great after-all.
  16. As a kid I idolised BT, what a legend of a player, and am more than happy to forget his managerial travails. However, he has gone down massively in my estimations to the point of spoiling his legacy so sad when he was an absolute hero of mine and as close to being a player-fan as I thought we could get, adopted as one of our own!!!
  17. To be honest it probably needs to be 'Kit Person' & 'Tea Person' with the move away from gendered language!
  18. Whilst I agree with the tenor of this entire thread, I feel a little more relaxed about the Kit Man having a job for life.
  19. They have spent big money on some utter dross. Perhaps a better manager when there isn't cash to flash.
  20. Getting rid of Nige is one thing, but does history suggest that we will replace him with someone better...do we have a track record of 'kicking on' when we are mid table in the Championship...
