Great result but what? Well, normally I give you a free pass but tonight you join the clickbateable society along with countless others that I follow on YouTube, please don't stoop to their level; it's not big and it's not clever.

Just like the youtubers, he craves attention for cyber “likes”

He's been to loads of matches over the last few years....usually sits in the Heineken Lounge corner of the Lansdown.

I know his mum hosts corporate tables in the Lansdown. Probably keeps her company, certainly has nothing else to do with the club apart from watching games.
Its no secret he is not impressed with how he was treated by the club & what they made him do with his testimonial funds.

Apparently rovers lost all thier cups when Twerton burnt down,

they had to but a load more at ikea

This is true. Every club in the country had a replica of the Jules Rimet Trophy after we won it in 66. I learnt this in a ground tour of AG around 1995, the tour operator smiled when he said the only club not to have one now was Rov*rs- due to the fire.

  4. When youre tired & weary & want to test your fate.

you’ll get your fxcking head kicking in if you come down Ashton Gate.

& when you see the east end you’ll hear a mighty roar

Come here you rov*rs bast*rds its you were searching for!

    ohhhhhhh dum diddly… etc….

  5. Fantastic work to those involved. The 2 houses as you enter the stadium Dolman / Atyeo side has a huge blank canvas that should also be looked into so be decorated.

I do wonder what Louis thinks of it, as he has pretty much disassociated himself with the club for a long time now. (Something to do with his testimonial)

Few on their closed shop little forum are creaming themselves for the visit of Derby as they will bring a few thousand and get the attendance into five figures.

Comes to something when they have to rely on the away supporters to get a decent attendance.

    Tin pot.

Wasnt that their plan for the new stand anyway- to accomodate large away followings. 🤣

Why is it that our fans make so much noise away from home when we seem so quiet at home?

This is a fairly new thing for us at away games. Up until last season our away support was notoriously quiet- pointed out by many opposing fans.

Things seem to have changed this season. Not sure what or why.

What happened with proper loud voices and fans wanting to sing their lungs out? Coming back home after games hoarse of voice was a right of passage back in the day. Leading your first song and then the 1-2 sec wait when/whilst others joined in. Bending the back and mammoth exhale from the lungs. Joyous.

Im afraid that type of so called “toxic masculinity” has been forced out the game over the years.

Thanks for raising this issue.  Strange response from the club.

The majority of clubs across the country have their name and crest on the outside of the stadium including us before the redevelopment.

Yes…. But, as a club apparantly the main priority now is diversity equality inclusivity blah blah …. (without any fan consulation)
Fwiw i see alot of “diverse” people around AG, matchday staff & fans. Is Bristol sport is just ticking another box on this issue while not addressing what the fans want?

Where I am it is -20C. However driving around today listening to Talk shite  sport, they were indicating the game could be postponed

    Is there something in it?

Not sure it matters what the temp is where you are as to whether the game is on or off 🤣

Did you and your club stick with the rugby fans when you effectively stole their ground off of them during a time when they were struggling financially? Did you bugger! You all rubbed your greedy grubby hands together at getting a ground on the cheap without a thought for the rugby fans. Even made the rugby chairman a life long president didn't you? Your fans celebrated with much joy about the rugby club falling into financial trouble which meant you could con them out of their own ground. This is of course after they allowed you to return to Bristol.

You essentially stole that ground. Your club then tried to claim the ground isn't a war memorial (it is) and you tried to sell it off and have that war memorial demolished to be a Sainsburys. Your fans didn't give a crap about that either. Didn't stand with the locals who didn't want a Sainsburys there either.

Your club also tried to steal our stadium in 82. You also prevented the council from helping us out.

So as someone who follows the rugby club too, you'll never ever see me standing with your fans over any issues. In fact you'll find me lying on the floor pissing myself, just like I did when you got relegated to Non league by a team who had nothing to play for and who were wearing your own kit.

Oh and what did Hollowhead once say on that open top bus that all your fans cheered? "The only good City fan is a dead City fan" wasn't it?

You seem one of the 'decent' ones but I am absolutely flabbergasted that you are asking for our support over your clubs cock up.

I'm pleased to hear that you've got a ticket for your cup final to watch a team that have already visited Ashton Gate twice this season and who we have played quite regularly over the years.

    Thats a tad mean-spirited

As I said, it's very early days, so my discussion was very non-specific, In any case, the whole point of consultation is to find out the views of as many fans as possible, not just of those with a particular interest in this topic.

18 months is ample time to do that and to put in place the necessary arrangements should it transpire that a large percentage of our fellow fans would support changes being made on this front.

How much was it to put safe standing railings in the south stand corner? Ive heard the figure of around £40k.

Something to do with his new collaboration with Nick Love, ‘Marching Powder’ I heard. Not a direct sequel to The Football Factory (which is 20 years old incredibly!) but similar in style.

Marching Powder was a fantastic book about an English chap banged up in South America IIRC?

Interesting to see how this project progresses.

What is their 'history' then, apart from dropping out of the league and historically perennially being in our shadow?

    Please enlighten me.

In 1899 they changed their name from the Black Arabs & became Bristol Rovers.

(Thats 2 years AFTER we were renamed as Bristol City)
