The problem you and many others fall for is just looking at the table, counting wins and points and then fearing the worst. Not only that, but applying worst possible results to us, and assuming promotion chasing form for the other 6/7 teams at the bottom of the table.

For that to happen you're going to need results such as Sheff Wed and Cardiff to beat Leeds and Ipswich respectively - both at home but still highly unlikely. Blackburrn and Plymouth, and Millwall and Brum play each other.

Next week Sheff Wed would have to backup their massive Leeds win by beating Ipswich away. Millwall go to Leeds, the rest are all playing teams higher than them.

Good Friday Blackburn are next up to topple Ipswich, QPR and Brum play each other, Sheff Wed and Swansea face each other.

It's not impossible, but it's very unlikely many of those teams are picking up more than a few points if that. And if you do think it, I'd head to the bookies as you'll get some good odds.

I'd not even looked at who other teams have to play. I'm just going by our current form.

We literally look like we have absolutely no idea how to break down a side that aren't looking to come at us!

After just looking at who everyone has left to play, what struck me the most is how many times the teams i would say are currently in danger (bottom 10) have to play each other. There's so many "6 pointers" up for grabs which could either give teams a good chance to pull away with a few wins or make it very, very close if everyone takes points from each other?

Win Sunday and it would make a huge difference to our outlook for me!

  2. If we don't win Sunday then we're definitely in a relegation battle!

I don't care how well we've played against the better sides, i can't see us getting anything from the West Brom and Leicester games.

We could then conceivably be 3 points or less above the relegation zone!

Admittedly i do believe we're probably only around 8 points off achieving safety but our form since the new year massively concerns me as to where those 8 points are coming from!

Sunday is a massive game for me!

It was 5-0* and we were lucky to get that. When they scored their first a  good proportion of the away enclosure were celebrating.

(*I think. It was a long time ago. We didn't score though)

Keegan’s first game was the 3-0 defeat in Feb 1992. The 5-0 game was September 92.

Went to both and was unbelievable to see how much of a hero KK was to the geordies.

I've looked at various TFL sites and can't find anything. The only indication of any problem appeared on the Millwall MET liaison account

It's worth pointing out it greatly impacts home support too, I guess we just sit back and wait for more information nearer the time

I'm guessing The Met have been given the nod about it before it gets made public so they can form any necessary plans?

Don't generally have a problem with swearing but the bloke in the front of the South Stand calling everyone boring C***S for not joining in the bounce around was pushing it a bit.

On a slightly different subject I also hate being looked at as a day tripper, I can't afford to go every week anymore and decided to take my 8 years old for this game. But I was there during the Gary Johnson early days when we lost every game, I was there on a cold Tuesday watching O'Driscoll playing Marlon Harwood up front, I had hope in my heart when I saw the team and Matt Heywood was partnering David Partridge at centre back, I've earnt my stripes to pick and choose when I attend

    Part timer!

A mate of mine (sadly a Gashead) has informed me that a group of wives (all Gasheads) are going to Ashton Gate tomorrow for the England Womens game. They have tickets for the Lansdown Stand and have never been to the Gate before. There must be quite a few others going too.

Wouldn’t it be good to see their faces and listen to their reactions as they enter the concourse.

What do you think their first comments would be?

Not necessarily this group but you can almost guarantee one of the Blue Few will go to this and think they're clever by wearing some sort of Rovers clobber and feel the need to post it all over social media as if it's some sort of achievement. Just like when a few went down for their Covid jabs and wore their clown outfits!

"Look at me I wore da famous quarterz at Trashton"!

Yea we don’t all work with computers the Bournemouth tickets went in 10 minutes

You do realise you don't have to be sat in front of a PC to buy tickets, right?

I had to phone up to book my tickets this morning, couldn’t book wheelchair area online.

I did get to choose my seats (I booked my usual ones)…which suggests it’s not totally unreserved???

I think the seats you book are reserved but they're not reserving your season tickets for an exclusive period, so if you're not quick off the block somebody else could nab them.

That's how i'm reading it anyway?

Not in a world backing those bunch from up the road, but we've rarely taken any decent following to Barnsley on a Tuesday night

All this willy waving about numbers makes us just as obsessed as they are about numbers

Whilst i agree, it's worth noting that this was only their second visit to Barnsley since the turn of the Millenium and they could still only muster just over 400 fans. In the same time we've travelled to Oakwell 17 times,

It's a new ground to a whole generation of the Blue Few yet we generally visit there most years so the idea of a day out at The Tarn is hardly a novelty to us!

For me any fan that travels away on a Tuesday deserves a round of applause as it takes a lot of commitment with time off work, travel cost etc!

Edit to say i've just saw @1960maaan made the same point earlier!

  10. Ian loves blowing his own trumpet, doesn't he?!

Stating that he's the man because he's been calling for Cundy's inclusion for months!

He did the same last season with Riley Towler and Vince Harper!

Towler got found out being too inexperienced as soon as he played and Harper got released as he wasn't thought good enough!

If you throw enough shit Ian something will eventually stick!

Also Dave can you sort the sound out old bean. Love the podcast but it's a hard listen at times!

Most weeks the sound is out of sync between you and Ian so every time one of you speak we have to turn the volume up or down.

This isn't a moan just a little feedback. Thanks for all the effort from you guys!?
