So win 2 games, everything is wonderful, lose 4 in a row and its 'dropped off a little bit'.

That there is relegation form . 6 points from 6 games. But when we played well there's a really good feeling. An observation he repeated.

He should only release written  statements.

DM me Brian. For a small fee I'll write something coherent. Something that might begin to build some trust with the large proportion of fans who don't buy your bullshit.

We’ll be in harms way as long as the Lansclown’s run the show. There frail ego-driven decision making will ensure we never take the next step. Sacking LM would be like cutting the grass when the house is on fire.

I don't disagree. Even they can get it right occasionally though. I just think Manning is one of those "got it wrong again dad" appointments.

No harm in giving him a proper go next season after a pre-season/some of his own signings. Until the Lansdown’s go the prem is a pipe dream anyway.

If relegation starts to look very on, then we’ll have to change sooner, but shouldn’t come to that.

There could be 3 or 4 years of harm if the money is spent unwisely. Based on what I've seen, I couldn't trust him with my cheque book.

When Pearson was sacked I said it was a clueless decision. I thought he was doing a decent job based on our squad. I didn’t think that this squad was getting anywhere near the top six even with Pearson. It is a mid table squad.

I agree it's a mid table squad, when utilised correctly. My concern is we aren't getting mid table results (23 points from 20 games). Despite clinging to mid table, the bottom third are moving closer. The direction of travel suggests we wont be mid table for much longer.

What makes R****s stand out is that everyone else moves from an old ground to a new one. They just move from an old ground to someone else's old ground.

Certainly the only team I've seen at 4 different "home" grounds. I think they might have used Forest Green for a home game as well some time ago

Principal difference is there is now 2 balconies, so 3 levels in all. The top level is roughly at the same as old. The mid balcony fits in as the lower level doesn't go back so far. I suspect this level would be prime viewing. Each balcony has extended sides up to the stage. Only tried the top layer, could only see half the stage.

That is unfortunate. Before they spent £132m on it you could see the whole stage.

Maybe we were lucky with our seats. Saw ABC and Haircut 100 ( both the Wife's choices ) and we had seats upstairs on the RHS. Decent view TBF.

It's curved inwards towards the sides which might help. We were sat towards the back, in the middle and it looks like the top tier extends too far down and clips off the nearest part of the stage, everything towards the back of the stage was fine, unfortunately Rob was at the front !

I think it was originally a cinema, which would have worked fine with a large screen high up behind the stage area.

  8. Just got back from seeing Rob Brydon at the Bath Forum. Was a good show with plenty of laughs. What did disappoint me was the view from the balcony or circle as they call it. It reminded me of being at QPR where you can't see all of the goal net. You couldn't actually see all of the stage. Therefore I can confirm that Rob Brydon has a head, but not sure about the legs.

My BS? OK well you're the one who has immediately looked to deflect me asking you opinion as a point scoring exercise and you keep talking about forum popularity - you come across in your posts as rather sensitive to being challenged. All I did was ask you a question. It's OK to be wrong. That's the point of the forum, right.

Last para - Ah that old chestnut,"if it's so easy why don't you do it"...I'm not paid £100k's plus a year to provide anyone with answers, if you want answers to that ask Jon Lansdown and Tinnion etc, that's what they are paid to do.

So no, i'm not going to give you some detailed plan on promotion, because I don't have to - BUT despite that, what I do know is, it exists, and many many many clubs overtaking us have shown that - it's just that 20 years show Lansdown still doesn't and can never learn from his mistakes. Every year is another team he says we should emulate...Brentford, Brighton, Luton, Ipswich...the list goes on, the record stuck.

So as long as they want our money and talk about promotion, that is reason enough for me to question the club and it's operations (without having to tell them what to do) until we are the club people look to emulate.

You're quite right to question it, and it's not our job to answer our own questions! The high powered, highly paid help need to do that.

It isn't just about failing to get into the Premier League. We haven't finished in (or particularly close to) the play-off places since 2008. The stadium is nice, we know. Bringing the youngsters through has been good to see, we know. Unfortunately the progress on the pitch simply hasn't happened. We seem to be rooted to a similar league position regardless of the much talked about progress. Questioning why that is, while other teams seem to overcome the difficulties and go sailing past us every year, is more than fair.

I just can’t be arsed with any of this any more. 8 days ago we were talking about a possible play off push, now we’re calling for the manager’s head.

We win a few, we lose a few, we draw a few. Sometimes we manage to win a couple in a row, and we’re all talking us up. Then we lose a couple in a row and it’s all doom and gloom. Right now we are 12th in the table; the very definition of mid-table.

People pick a run of games to support their argument; currently it’s fashionable to pick the last 10 games, because it’s poor and supports the idea that the manager is failing. If you pick the last four, we’ve won two and lost two. Average. If you look over 34 games - the entire season - there are 12 clubs doing worse than us, and 11 doing better. Probably about par for the squad.

It all amounts to quibbling over the details, while the reality is: we are a mid table club, with a mid table squad, getting mid table results.

None of this is a defence of Manning, nor is it an attempt to justify the clearly-unjustified sacking of Pearson. Tinnion and Jon Lansdown clearly don’t have any leadership skills or any natural air of authority to inspire confidence. The “top six” claim is a noose around their necks.

I don’t really know where I’m going with this. But I’m just tired of the constant cycle of vague optimism, then inevitable disappointment and the equally inevitable calls for the manager’s head. Somehow we need to break out of this cycle because it’s so tedious and it’s been the same for years. Pretty much my entire 40 years on earth, in fact.

I don’t really have a point here! I’m just a bit fed up. But I’m really not convinced that yet again blaming the manager is the answer for a club that’s been serving up generous lashings of bang-averageness for decades now.

I feel much the same, can barely be bothered to contribute any more. Unless fundamental change happens at the club (cosy amateurs moved out and professionals moved in) all this talk seems a bit like re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.

Having looked at his Youtube highlights reel, which shows him mainly playing for the Man City U21s, he is clearly a very exciting talent. His move to Belgium and then to City might indicate that he is struggling to bridge the gap between the U21 and adult level.  He may take some time and patience and need to improve his strength and learn to cope with the stronger and quicker players that he will encounter in Championship football. He is young and should, in my opinion, be given the time and effort needed to allow him to reach his potential.  Maybe we should all support him in his journey rather than pile on when his second appearance, during a match when the whole team was sub par, and that might help him, the team and those charged with coaching him to improve. Don't damn the lad but encourage him!

Notwithstanding the "we should have bought for the now argument", I completely agree he should be given time. If he can perform like the youtube clips, in the Championship we'll all be delighted. I think what a lot of people are concerned about is that the management have done the opposite. They didn't give him time and threw a youngster into a situation that they were completely unprepared for. They didn't do the team or the player any favours at all. I hope the damage isn't permanent.
