Just seen it on SSN. What the hell was that?!!!

How we started? Backs to the wall I'm guessing.

Holden just admitted as much (through a grin) that Wright will be RB, but that our formation is 'flexible' what ever that means!

I actually think it's 4-4-2 with Wright going to RB.
Leko left wing (his favourite position)

Everyone panicking, still time to turn this around. We've got a talented young manager who WILL turn this around.
BELIEVE!

Very happy with that team. Pato deserves his chance in the number 10 role, would have been poor man management to have dropped him after his performance in that position against Fleetwood.
Plus, ex players have a nasty habit of scoring against their former employers...

Quite satisfied with the performance, but disappointed for the result.
Wow. We were f****** terrible.
How you can be satisfied with that performance beggars belief.

Can we take O'Neil off of Corners please? He just floats them into the box with out much pace, which is not the type of delivery that Flint & co thrive on.

It's a formation that requires the full backs to offer us width and an attacking threat in wide areas. It's a case that if Golbourne or Matthews bomb on, O'Neil or Korey need to slot in to protect the counter.

Not starting Joe Bryan (possibly one of our best 3 players this season) was a mistake for me.
Also, O'Dowda seems to be a better impact sub for the last 15-20 mins.
Expecting a couple of changes at half time.

Never felt right about Moore starting at right back today. He's a centre half, and I don't want his confidence being affected by playing poorly whilst not in his natural position.
Matthews should have played at least the first 60-70 mins IMO.

O'Neil not fit
He wouldn't be on the bench if he wasn't fit.
Besides, he only missed the last few games due to illness.

Good report!
Sounded to me (from everything I've heard about the game), that there seemed to be a real tactical shift in our play once it went 10 vs 10.
By the time of O'Neil's sending off, Wednesday already had an extra attacking player on the pitch due to being 2-0 down at half time, and we never really seemed to cope with this for the final 20 mins.
Why the negative subs from Johnson? I really think he should have swapped Tomlin for Paterson, and kept someone up there to support Tammy, and to take the pressure off of our defence.
As previously mentioned, we're terrible at sitting on a lead (remember MK Dons at home last season), and I KNEW Wednesday were going to find those goals during the final moments of the game. It also sounds like some of our players went missing during the 2nd half, which is just not good enough full stop.
I ALSO cannot get my head around the fact that the ball rebounded off the post from Tomlin's pen, and went straight to one of their players in the middle of the park! WHEN does that ever happen?!!
That 20 seconds of missing the pen and losing O'Neil seemed to cripple us mentally, and also give Wednesday a lift in the process.
Football, you crazy, crazy bas****

Sounds like they earned it. More possession, more shots, more corners.
They had more attacking players on the pitch 2nd half. Sounds like Johnson tried to shut up shop when it went 10 vs 10, which is madness considering we're possibly the worst team in Europe at defending a lead by sitting back.
He needed to put Wednesday on the back foot by introducing Paterson, or just should have kept Tomlin on.
We tactically shifted as though they still had 11 which was weird from Johnson.

Last one, poor to get turned like that:
How much f****** room has that guy got in our box in stoppage time?!!! Absolute joke defending.

Our subs seemed too defensive considering it was still 10 vs 10. Will only make you sit deep and try to hang on, which we all know, Bristol City have never been good at.

Not sure Brownhill is that defensive. But Pack O'Neil and Brownhill should hopefully give Tomlin and O'Dowda more attacking freedom. Tomlin and Brownhill to score!
Interested to see how Brownhill gets on. Johnson is trusting him with a starting place against a side that I fully expect to see up there come May, so he must be impressing recently.
I just don't want Tomlin out on the f****** left hand side!

or perhaps he and the others left out are carrying knocks or tired.
Tired, at the start of September, at his age? Doubtful.
Johnson said the only people with knocks from the weekend was O'Dowda and Maggers.
Clearly a tactical switch, and one that I'm a little surprised by is all.

After playing with 1 defensive mid against Norwich, Newcastle and Villa, its a bit strange to play 3 against Wednesday.
Agree. I would have given Brownhill's place to Paterson in the starting XI.
Although looking at Josh to prove me wrong, as I'm still not sure on him just yet. Is he a ball winner, a creative midfielder? I really can't tell.

Surprised there's no Jamie Paterson tonight, would of thought he'd be a starter after last game. Is he injured? Or is it just the depth in our squad?
I think many of us expected to see Patts start tonight, especially after his performance on Saturday.
Johnson's gone that bit more defensive by sticking Josh B in there though. Went for that high energy in the middle of the park to upset Wednesday's rhythm I guess.

Where is Gustav Engvall? Not upto speed yet or one for the future?
Still carrying a knock. Johnson said he's going to wait until he's full 100%.

A fresh and ready to go Pato back in the side today, with Leko moving to the right perhaps?
2-1 to the City!
