Marvin Elliott would be class at 5-a-side. Super fit, wouldn’t stop. You can’t carry players in 5 a side so lazy players like JET and Jacki would be a no for me. Scotty would be decent. Tammy, Webster and Heaton I guess.

I was staying in Cyprus once about 5 years ago. We needed our Rep for something but he was hardly ever about. When we finally tracked him down he told us that Rooney’s brother was getting married at the Olympic Lagoon hotel across the road and that he (the rep) had to spend most his week fussing after all of their party making sure they had everything they needed. Not sure what that adds to the conversation but hey ho.

I ordered a training top in the 30% off sale on Monday. This morning I’d still not had an email confirming that my item had been shipped so I emailed them for an update. The response was pretty quick saying “Sorry but we are out of stock in that size, would you like a refund?” Seems they were happy to keep my money in the hope that I’d forgot or something? Poor that I had to contact them at all.

Yeah I just don’t get why he hasn’t sold the whole squad and replaced them all with a much better players. Jesus wept. Surely you understand that most of our squad isn’t very good, right? A win today would have put us above Huddersfield on goal difference. They are currently 10th. I’d say as far as rebuilds go, things are going ok.

Mattie Pollock whom they are talking about signed for Premier League Watford in the summer. Out on loan at Cheltenham currently.

He said in part 1 that he keeps in contact with a lot of his former team mates and that he’s off to see Ivan Campo in Spain later in the year. Seems to be a popular guy and comes across likeable. Rumours of him suffering with depression before and during his time with us could be true and could explain why he wasn’t the player we were hoping he’d be for us. At the end of the first episode he’s talked about how he’d just signed a new 4 year contract with Bolton and then Big Sam gets the Newcastle job and in came Gary Megson (been mentioned in a few Undr the cosh podcasts before that Megson isn’t particularly well liked in the game) A couple of months later Megson brought in Gretar Steinsson who pretty much became first choice RB from then on. Signing a 4 year deal with your home town club in the premier league, playing regularly, linked with Liverpool and to be frozen out all of a sudden. Could explain his depression if that was the case.

I listened to this this morning hoping there would be some revealing information about his time with us but it was all about his time at Bolton. Part 2 is out next week so bound to get asked about his time in Bristol in that part. I must say though, he’s quite a funny guy, got some funny stories. Quite a likeable chap.

Back on the burger debate, has anyone tried the Bristol Burger Bus? Check them out on Instagram. They are in different places each night and do a special burger each week. It’s an old New York style school bus. Pretty cool and the burgers and onion rings are decent

Have been to squeezed twice. It’s nice but I felt that the food had a slight twang to it. Not sure if it’s the oil they use or what. The guys behind squeezed have just opened a hot dog place in wapping wharf too I believe. I do love a good burger and have been to Burger Joint, Three Brothers, Asado, Squeezed, Atomic Burger, oowee, honest burgers, bronx burgers and burger theory. I stand by my opinion that Bronx (Clifton village) and Asado (colston street near the children’s hospital) are the most impressive.

I noticed from the Bristol bears tv advert that we are now doing Buxton and Bird pies at the gate. Freddie Bird is the owner of Buxton and bird pies and little French. Is a guest on Saturday kitchen fairly regularly. Buxton and bird pies have a unit at wapping wharf. They are very nice if I do say so myself.

Wow. People believe footballers would pick us over Aston villa if offered the same wages by both clubs? Villa will be back in the prem before we get anywhere near it. I'm Bristol city through and through but if I was a player and i had the choice of there or here, I'm going to villa.

Alot of talk about Jos Buttler coming back. Chris Rogers can't stand Chris Gayle but i'm not sure how involved Rogers will be in the t20 next season or whether Maynard will even be that bothered if Rogers likes Gayle or not. Buttler and Gayle would be lovely. And a decent bowler.
