Don't know what we can take from today's game really? I mean has he had long enough to look at the players to change too much? He obviously has a way he wants to play but will take him a few weeks to see if he really has the players to do it. Looks like we are going to be playing safe for a few weeks while he takes a look at everyone.
Scary that we are hanging on a bit here when you take in to consideration the 10 men and opponents. We have to be far better verses anyone else in this league.
Not a lot to shout about other than the red. Their keeper has had an easy 45 except for maybe 1 save. We are going to have to up the tempo and do better with the ball in the final third. Don't know what this would say about us if we couldn't beat bottom of the league at home with an extra man for 60+ mins?
No he fell in the box but the contact was outside IMO. Maybe we would have been better off getting a pen and going up 1-0, Bannan would have stayed on so we will see as the game pans out.
Were all over the place at the back. Why won't players just get rid in today football? Even when the ball falls to Sykes instead of relieving pressure he tries a flick and gives them another chance to get it in the box.
Good sign when a side can be second best but keep a clean sheet and win the game. Regardless of how the game itself went, getting the result is the main objective and fair play to City for digging in. Can't argue with league position either!
