  1. For those of us who have seen this sort of thing over many moons, can I suggest we wait and see what the next week or so brings to the party?  For those youngsters and newbies who've never encountered  'City Suffering' just give the Samaritans a bell.

Lots and lots of hand wringing on here.  Is it really the end of the world????????  NO, it's all part of being a City fan.  Remember it's not a choice in most cases, it's a birth right. If you really think we're that carp, why not just f off to North Bristol and follow a tw4t side that's currently winning a few games if that's what you're after?  Jeeeez

    Blackburn ,  ...

    umm ..

Blackburn , a shithole in the North .

over to Big Tone for the condensed  version .

Here's hoping Big Tone makes a swift comeback, if under the weather.  In his absence, I can only offer a poor unworthy condensed version.

Lets remember that Chesham are not only in the Southern League Premier, but they are 17th in the Southern League Premier, having conceded 25 goals. Good job we didn't play Weymouth or another team at the top of the table.
Of course our team today were a disgrace, set up badly by Clarke. We started at walking pace and later progressed to a slow trot. Passing was poor except for Sinclair who managed at least 40 passes backwards. And he should have pulled Gosling off after 20 minutes, absolute disgrace. Harrison, again acting like a petulant child falling over at every opportunity. Thought that they would tire in the second half but they didn't because for all our huffing and puffing there was no quality. I expect Chesham will have harder games against teams in their own league than we gave them.
I have always been a big fan of DC but if he cannot improve the team or at least get them to win at home then I would say thanks Daryl but goodbye

  5. I wouldn't have thought about going there to gloat because it didn't occur to me that they'd go down.

Perhaps the only team ever to be relegated with fans wearing celebratory fancy dress?

I seriously cannot give this enough 'likes'.  That is the finest analysis I've seen about their whole sorry affair!

  6. Already 'safe' from relegation due to their win at Wycombe the previous week, the Mansfield game was to be a celebration of their escape.  Why, oh why would City supporters go and watch that dross?  Boot on other foot.......... if we only had to get a home point against a side with no further interest in the competition, would any of our 'active' noisy neighbours turn up and give 25 quid to our bank account for what is essentially a survival party?

    Would they bullocks.

I still call total BS on their straw grasping

  7. Whilst we do have the judgment we should remember it was a 7 day hearing, a Byzantine in complexities agreement and a quick run through of arguments and witness evidence in a few paragraphs for which may have taken hours to present in court.

Clearly there's a very obvious reason why I or anyone else may stop short of posting suggestions of possible grounds. Honestly I don't know and have no opinion as to whether they do or don't have any. But I can think one aspect which if I was Rovers I might want to explore to see if it had legs as a possible ground.

Thanks for the discretion 29AR.  If (less legally informed) members of our forum speculate on possible holes in the judgement, someone may just inadvertently stumble across a point of law that would be helpful to the 'losers'.  Although the engaged legal eagles won't be trawling this forum, possible leads will undoubtedly get back to them.

So, those of us who know chuff all about the law (except for the occasional appearance charged with forgery, arson and blagging stuff) must try not to be too specific in our uninformed guesses about grounds for appeal, in case we unknowingly hit one on the head.  The likes of 29AR are wise to the ways of the legal world and know when to imply knowledge without revealing details.  Let's follow their example and give 'em sod all to play with.

    I love you all

  8. My god there are some mindless comments on here. Just think back to the JPT at home to the gas. Quite Simply the best atmosphere I have even been in during a football match and I am an old git. Do we really want to see that rivalry die. Sainsbury have sh1t on rovers as they have shit on numerous others, how would you feel if the boot was on the other foot. All this guff of we hate the rovers, the gas took the piss in our hour of need is not better than play ground politics. It's about time we showed them some support. Long live the rivalry that I grew up with. You never know how much you miss things until it's gone, it's then too late.

**** 'em, it's a risk I'm willing to take.  Sorry.  Respect your opinion as well, just different to mine

  11. I think newer generation of City Fans don't remember how they acted around 1982 and the subsequent years when we were in the same division.  It's been so long since we played them on any sort of competative level now people are going soft.

This was a team who at one point tried to steal AG when we nearly went to the wall.

This is a team who didn't support the WC bid, who's fans actively signed petitions against AV and took great delight over the VG farce.

This is a team who still refer to us as the 82ers at any given moment.

Don't for one minute think if the boot was on the other foot they wouldn't be enjoying it.  I think the points above prove that.

Today they can go get  ****ked as far as I'm concered.

    Never forget, Never forgive.

Tomarse.........I like this so much that 'like' is not enough.  And I'm seriously running out of them today!

  12. I'll give it 6 months tops before people get fed up driving an extra 10-20mins to the supermarket each week and go crawling back to their local sainsburys.

If there is one thing in the human spirit you can rely on its laziness.

I was going to argue with you about that statement, but I just can't be arsed

  13.  After Tesco took the Tote End and Sainsbury's took the UWE I don't know which I prefer! I feel a new song should we ever play again after all their talk of boycotting various supermarkets: "We're Bristol City, we shop where we want!"

    BCL........ I really love you!
