They have a "very clear, ambitious plan to move the club forward"?
Bit like plan A from earlier this year then !
-
Pleased that they can progress.
Find it ironic though that the law has protected an old rubbish tip from development but allowed
building on piece of land left as a memorial.

Or did I miss something Saturday.!

Not the greatest fan of SOD but at least things seemed like they were improving.
Seems very strange timing if true.

Glad to hear this, as a lot of eastenders wanted the standing to go at the back. Any idea when we will know what the final design looks like
These are the drawings submitted for planning in July so this is pretty much what will be built:

Redevelopment not going to happen now, there are 4 objections !
Best call it a day ;0)

Putting it bold doesn't make it any better a figure.
37 boxes is hardly the financial knight in shining crusader armour, is it?
What's the profit on those? 370K?
Is a box at AG going to generate 10k each a year? Not a hope.
Be lucky to get 5k each- we are in L1 don't forget. Now 165k isn't to be sniffed at, but surely the whole point of this was to attract "corporate" income - and we are only building 37??
Not having a pop at you mate - thanks for the info, but not building as many as possible, when you have a once in 50 years chance is madness.
I'm very surprised this hasn't got much more attention on here.
No offence taken
Was merely trying highlight the fact that there are more thank 18 boxes in the redevelopment.
The problem with limited room an the Ashton gate site means balancing capacity against boxes.
More boxes = less capacity.
How many boxes would there have been at the vale ??
-
I assume that away following could be reduced if we get a lot of new home fans? 5,500 seems an awful lot.
The boxes on the other hand - 18 seems ridiculously small. Why bother with just 18?
I went to game in a box at Carrow Road, they had loads of them, each ranging from 20 - 100 people. Easily 100 boxes.
If AG just went for 18, then I truly would think the club has finally lost the will to live.
I would hope the boxes are the first concern - if we can fit 200 in AG, build 200. International Rugby Union and League are a given after the redevelopment, and the club would be chasing all kinds of events surely.
18..no,no,no, that's crazy.
There are 18 exec boxes in the new Williams.
If you add in the 15 being added to the back of the Dolman and 4 in the corner of the new Wedlock the total No of boxes will be 37.

For anyone one who still has not seen the plans they are available here.
Gives you a good idea of what's proposed.

Not for me. A shiny new Stadium with all the added benefits would have been great and my preference but this is a very good "next best thing" IMO.
I won't be at all disappointed if/when we re-develop Ashton Gate.
Agree
I am all for the Vale and my blood boils about how a few people have scuppered it but this is still a good alternative.
If City had never mentioned moving and come up with these plans on day one most people would have been pretty happy with what is being proposed.
