  1. I’ve been pretty critical of Manning but credit where it’s due we’re in great form at the moment and it’s actually been enjoyable to watch us in recent games for the first time since he’s taken over!

Hopefully we keep it up and take some momentum in to next season. As always with City consistency is the issue so the jury is still out but finally some promising signs.

True; but how is it that a shitty little club like Luton can come up from L1, spend just two seasons in the Champ, and then get promoted to the PL ?

A lot of it comes down to momentum imo. Like Ipswich this season (and so nearly us in 2008.)

Hes was shit for the majority of his time here especially when he was given the armband

That’s not how I recall it at all. Thought he was a really decent player for us for years. His form dropped off a cliff after that failed move to Soton.

Ah ok , didn’t know that. If true , he really is a piece of work tinnion . Ass kisser tinnion

I seem to remember him taking exception to Danny Wilson getting a good reception on his first return to AG. Always felt the bloke has a strangely inflated ego.

Its quite scary when you consider someone who failed so spectacularly as a manager at league one level for us has suddenly taken over a more senior position at the club without any real protest.

Am I alone in thinking I'm in the silent majority that are pretty fed up with the current situation, unhappy at how the Pearson situation was handled BUT completely willing to wait til next season to judge manning (where he WILL be judged from game 1 onwards)?

Theres a lot of noise about manning out etc but do most fans feel like me ?

Not looking to knock anyones opinion (2024 has been dreadful and masked from looking even worse by the FA cup), just sometimes the loudest voices portray a larger sentiment than the reality.

I’m not sure if I fall into the majority or minority tbh, but I find Manning to be a nobody. I don’t want to start a new thread but I would genuinely love to know where do people see us finishing next season? I fear we did most of our “business” in January (Bird, Stokes etc.) I have zero faith in a leadership model that includes a manger sacked after a shameful defeat at league one level. I would absolutely take survival next season now if offered which is quite depressing.

No polls. No hoping for the best.

He’s either hopelessly out of his depth or he’s just not cut out to be a football manager at this level.

Let’s look at the positives we’ve endured almost 12% of his reign.

  7. I hate to be reactionary as I know how fickle football is. After having a season ticket for 20ish years the last two seasons I’ve not had one due to new work commitments. Next season I was planning to get one again but as things are I honestly don’t think I can justify the cost if “Manning Ball” is whats on offer 😴

  8. Read on Twitter earlier that it’s apparently not re opening. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case. I’ve avoided it for years it’s absolutely rancid in there.

I still feel numb, totally lost my City mojo

Couldn’t agree more. Of course I want us and Manning to do well… but after 20+ years of having a season ticket I can genuinely say I’ve never been more disinterested in the club as a whole. I miss the days when a defeat would absolutely ruin my entire weekend!

I trust, Harry, that Joe Bryan is no longer in your "naughty book" now he's not tracking back for Millwall, and they're doing sh*te?

To be fair JB never had the positional sense to play LB in a four (any MOTD he played there for Fulham proves my point 😜) Naismith is a strange one, very good footballer but has a mistake in him per game. Today and Leicester last week is a prime example. Not convinced he’s a CB!

Yes I believe he was interviewed along with Chris Hughton when the job was given to Dean Holden.

In hindsight it’s fair to argue Dean has done more than either of the other two since… who would have thought at the time!

He's also a lot fitter and stronger than when he was with us. He has what Nigel calls Premier League fitness, which makes this rumour even more plausible.

Hasn’t he been injured for a large chunk of the last 18 months? And barely played this season in France. That said he was always a great athlete so after a full pre season would hopefully be firing on all cylinders.
