Seriously - we binned a manager, rightly or wrongly, and appointed a risky replacement.

Smarter people than me, the likes of @Davefevs - who is not prone to pulling triggers- are saying it's change time again. But change...to whom? Or what? Does Tinnion have to go, too?

Tinnion has to do what he does best and bring the youngsters on. JP wants a yes man.

We lost 2-0 to Cardiff away and put on a better performance than that under Pearson and he had half a squad out injured and he got sacked for it.

I don't blame the players, they played as they were instructed to and you could see it was not working, what did Manning do.... nothing.

In my eyes Manning had the players to win that game, he had double the squad depth his predecessor had, he had the backing of the board unlike his predecessor and he still refused to adapt and it resulted in a worse performance.

I'm done with Manning, for the first time in a very very long time I can comfortably say I actually want a manager gone early into his time here. I'd rather have O'Driscoll, Millen, even McInnes over Manning. I'm sure many people will say that's a knee-jerk reaction but I will say this, not one of those men played the same tactics, same gameplan and refused to adapt for three straight games as we were completely nullified. Manning isn't ever going to accept he's responsible so we'll continue on with the same shit, getting excited when teams open up against us allowing Mannings football to work and maybe picking up surprise wins and losing the rest to teams who identify our playstyle, nullify it and laugh at Manning on the sideline looking lost.

It is a bit of a knee jerk reaction! But all  meant well and all true

One of the Nolan sisters was the missus of Torquay manager Bruce "I predict a" Rioch. Torquay played their matches on Saturday evenings so everyone was a bit, er, tired and emotional - some had been hard at it from the Friday afternoon/evening; some got a bit carried away (ie in a boat) - by the final whistle and not best pleased with another ropey away effort from TC and the boys. In the absence of any local firm to take it out on the unfortunate Mrs Rioch took the brunt as she escaped the ground in a car and we poured out into the Torquay night. The car's suspension and shock absorbers were given a thorough examination, shall we say. It was in the national tabloids the following Monday. City would be in the local and national papers quite a bit back then for this sort of thing (not roughing up members of girl groups, just generally behaving appallingly at games).

Not big, not clever; but 40 years on, quite funny. If I was writing a Bristol City "hoolie" book, that would be a centrepiece: we took it to one fifth of the Nolans.

(Must've been pretty terrifying for Mrs Rioch, really shouldn't laugh about it, but always makes me chuckle. Hope she's ok).

It was funny at the time the look on her face looking upwards in this mini ? but she came out of a turning and was pushing into the supporters walking past. So car was turned.

As for the boat sinking in 3 feet of water and one of the lads (rest in peace) screaming help, until he realised he could stand up. loads of City in the harbour bars crying with laughter.

Oh come on 😂. That is never going to happen. Manning isn’t the problem. I mean he’s not helping either but I wouldn’t trust the clowns to employ a tea lady let alone a manager so we need to stick with him and hope it clicks.

If what that Johnathan Pierce said on his recent commentary for us is that Manning the head coach does not pick the team or style of play, others are involved.

Maybe I haven't been watching City for long enough but I genuinely don't get this "won't make the playoffs".

You're six points off top six with SEVENTEEN games left. That's plenty time.

I remember my team Yeovil in 2012/13 bringing in a striker on loan and coming from further back than City to inish fourth and then win the playoff final.

If the CLUB want it we have the players to get us in the playoffs.

Bullies, one said. Remember a trip there in 1983, proper rumble at the back of the stand at half time, resulting in a foray onto pitch for me. Fortunately, I could run faster than 6 others, who became a tasty snack for the police dogs they let loose!

So you won’t back a manager until he proves his worth ? That’s pathetic tbh . You obviously haven’t backed many managers in the past then

You have not got a clue what you talk about sometimes. Correct I hope he does well but he won’t get my backing if he is not good enough to manage my team.

Unlike you Manning has my backing just as a new signing gets my backing as soon as he pulls on a red shirt to represent us. I don't wait for  new players to prove their worth before I support them and the same with a new Manager.

Time will tell, but if you read what i put I hope he does not fail. Quite clear really

We all spent a lot of money following us , so I don’t get why you have to write that. All joking aside . You come across on a lot of your posts as still very bitter about nige being sacked. Most of us disagreed with it . It was handled really poorly . We as fans though have to back the new manager & the players . You need to get over it .

When the new manager shows his worth then I will back him, I like all City  fans will be hoping for 3 points and not see him fail, but if results don’t improve he won’t get the backing.
